    1-1.

    Friedel own goal.

Left back McEveley clears off the line, off Friedel's back, over the line.

Villa PA system gives it to Angel.

    is GONE
I'm listening to Talk Sport, they claim Brad saved the shot at first, then it came off a Blackburn defender for the own goal.

Yorke scores, Blackburn up again 2-1.

Strange...Villa's announcers call it as a Gareth Barry shot that clanged off the post, the rebound coming to Angel who taps it in....They then waxed lyrical about Barry's "powerful leg" and how he should take more long range attempts when he ahs the chance...

Jansen puts away a loose ball after Taylor's header is put to him.

    1-3, Blackburn.

Looks like Brad gets a new defender.

    From L'Equipe:
Loan til the end of the season. Medical today.

Belgian, 28 years old. Left back.

The BBC text service, which is amazingly bland, uses adjective more often with Friedel than any player I've stumbled across, brilliant, stunning, etc...
Blackburn really is just a player or two from being very, very strong, aren't they?

Buff...over at the Blackburn boards, they've been moaning about acquiring a left back forever.

Personally, from watching them maybe a half dozen times this year, and from reading the results in their other matches, their biggest issue is to believe they belong, and to put away the minnows. Look at their record against the 3 big names, Liverpool, ManU, and Arsenal. It's excellent. The reason Blackburn isn't challenging for a CL spot is that they don't play any better against the crap teams. The points they dropped AT HOME to West Ham a couple of weeks ago are a perfect example. And that wasn't a one time slip, either. So, yeah, they need a couple of defenders. And they have a habit of ball watching in the back. But really, the main thing they need is to improve their mentality.

    My opinion, anyway.
