I saw a close-up of the new tattoo. I'm not sure where his loyalties lie - Judaism or Hinduism. Maybe some other ism.
the original DP must really prefer the long-sleeved jersey. during games, I don't think he enjoys showing off the arm art. here's hoping LAG doesn't have too many Sunday afternoon games in the sweltering US heat of MLS summers.

"...The Wire is not merely the best show on television now, but the best show that has ever been on television." -David Plotz of Slate.com
-------- On the air, Wynalda regularly tells it like it is – ripping MLS and its referees and its quality of play when he feels it is warranted. It's a candor that is refreshing in television, and figure it infuriated MLS execs who are ultrasensitive to criticism about their league. You got the feeling people tuned in as much to hear Wynalda as to watch the soccer, and it will be interesting to see what happens to ratings without him. The biggest loser in all this, of course, could be MLS and ESPN2, along with you, the fan. -------- I never got that feeling.
I'll join in ... Wynalda's comments may be insightful and accurate, but they don't belong in the game telecast. I prefer watching the game without being distracted by his rantings so I turn off the sound and put on music. I may miss the explanation on a referee's call here or there, but otherwise the broadcast is much more pleasant. Wynalda belongs on talk radio or in the studio, but not doing color commentary.

I don't have a link, but I clearly remember him saying after the Chelsea game that he always has and always will wear long-sleeves no matter the temp, this after being warned by some of his Galaxy teammates of the summer months in not SoCal but also places like Houston. I'll see if I can find this.
Here is an article that speaks a bit to Beckham's character... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/woman/real_life/article736205.ece Thierry, who is divorced from Tea’s mother Claire Merry, 27, spoke from the heart to The Sun just hours after learning he would not be able to return to London for a charity dinner in little Olivia’s honour due to a last-minute change to fixtures by the Spanish Football Federation, which means he has to play on Thursday night. Instead he will now have to send a video message. The event will be hosted by David Beckham. Thierry said: “As soon as I found out I couldn’t be there I contacted David and he was only too happy to fill my shoes. “That’s the sort of guy he is.” Nice to see Becks is finding time to do some charity work while he trains in London. And CF is a charity very close to my heart as my daughter suffers from it. Becks strikes me as a truely genuine person. Perhaps it's just great PR work by his advisors, but I've been impressed since he's joined MLS.
Count me as a Wynalda fan who "tuned in as much to hear Wynalda as to watch the soccer." I'll be ok if they give him studio time or something, but I will be seriously disappointed if he's not on regularly anymore.
