There's a chance that USA Under-20 defender Frank Simek could benefit yet again from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's "play the kids" policy in the Carling Cup competition as the Gunners host Middlesbrough in the first-leg match of a semifinal showdown in this competition at Highbury. No guarantee of whether Frankie's going to start as he did in previous rounds ahead of the quarterfinal (a game which he didn't), but the Team News article from sportinglife.com is one among several articles listing him as being in Wenger's squad. No idea on TV coverage, but it's quite possible that the BBC's Radio Five Live will have a free streaming audio webcast, as they have in previous rounds. No promises, though, but it's worth a shot as we appraoch kickoff. Kickoff time is slated for 11:30 a.m. PT/2:30 p.m. ET (and 6:30 a.m. Melbourne time for me here). The news update, as brief as it could be, is forthcoming...

Simek doesn't even make the bench. The only youngsters Wenger brought to the game are midfielders and forwards and only 2 of them are starting. http://www.arsenal.com/sportsappcon...e&type=com.sportapps.news.NewsItem&id=4309692
Sportinglife.com's matchtracker confirms this as well. Bugger. Might have a listen anyway... for me, it's either that, or go back to sleep.
