www.mlsnet.com/content/02/mls1030draft.html Dwight Burgess will provide commentary from Kansas City. Will be open to the public for the first time.
Y'know, I'm liking that the Superdraft will be so early this year. It makes the off-season feel a little shorter. Gives us something to really pay attention to other than the LA stadium. Which I'm hankering for a photo update on.
for any baseball or history buffs out there... kansas city has the negro league hall of fame... it's suppose to be absolutely incredible, i've never had the chance to visit it... but always wanted to just another reason to head out there for the draft
I am totally planning to go. Just for clarification, is this going to be "open to the public" open to the public, or is it "open to the public" for people who are attending the coaches convention.
it is open to all. Though I am not sure if it is free. I wouldn't hold my breath though. I for one will be there, no question about that. The Chicago fire new jersey and the new ball will be unveiled at that time as well. there will also be the largest soccer merchandise selection as well, though more geared towards equipment I suppose. The Baseball museum is not too far away from Bartle Hall, as well as the jazz museum. Though the area they are at is not the best.
The Negro Leagues Museum is awesome. The Jazz Museum is pretty good (and, conveniently, across the hall from the Negro Leagues Museum). Arthur Bryant's barbecue is around the corner. This is all about 10 minutes by car from Bartle Hall, where the draft will be held.
Bout time they put the draft in an MLS town and coupled it with that convention. MLS making good decisions. Next thing you'll tell me that they are doing away with the Shootout.
Next thing you'll tell me that they're dropping counting games against visiting Euro teams in the standings.
