Well, what does everyone expect from the schitzo Raps? If recent form holds, not much.

Well they did win the last game, not very convincingly; so...

...They prob won´t be humiliated by the CheeseWhiz.

Last time the Rapids won on the road was July 24th, against the Revs. Not good.

Rapids are 3-8-2 on the road this year. Not good.

They've been outscored 28 to 11 in those games. Not good.

We haven't yet lost to KC this year. Not bad.

We've only surrendered 1 goal to KC in two games this year. Stylie.

Rapids are 3-11-1 all-time at Arrowhead. LORD HELP US.

We've been up and down all year; last weekend's win against Dallas, while not an overly convincing one did take place in the friendly confines of home.

I don't have much faith in Hankinson's ability to rally the troops for a road match, especially with 5th place a near-certainty for the Rapids.

Factor in the caution point accumulation problems facing the team and they're either going to play cautiously or without their primary starting lineup... I see a road loss or draw for the Raps.

Assuming my transportation holds together, I should be in attendance.

Hopefully the Raps will be as dominating as the last time I saw them live and in person.

I think the Rapids can take them. KC let the Crew take it to them in the semifinals of the US Open Cup. I think KC will be rather depressed this weekend after the last fisco.

I hope so, but I'm playing devils advocate here, thinking KC will come out fired up and ready to play 90 since they're battling for their playoff lives. It'll be fun.

From the Whiz web site, road trippers can look forward to:

    1) Church and Family Night - The Pool Boys will perform live on stage in Lot D from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Fuddrucker’s will have burgers and sandwiches available in a picnic area next to the stage, prior to the Wizards match.

    2) The Whiz and Hartley Family Center 1st Annual Celebration of Deaf Awareness Month. The fundraising event will include a Bar-B-Que dinner, exhibits and silent auction items. Tickets to the party will include admission to the Wizards game. Four dollars from each ticket will be donated to the Hartley Family Center.

    3) Bayer Advantage will select Kansas City’s prettiest pet in the Bayer Advantage Prettiest Pet Contest. The Grand Prize winners are invited to Arrowhead Stadium along with their pet to be introduced on the field at halftime. See www.nofleas.com

    4) Papa John’s Team Poster Giveaway Night (20,000 posters). The Wizards will hold a free Post-Game Team Autograph Session in the Pavilion at Arrowhead following the game.

I guess there will be a football match squeezed in there somewhere...;)

...while all you losers with ugly pets will have to keep them locked in the cars during the game, gasping for air in the heat and humidity.

Well I'll be the first to go out on a limb here and say the Rapids will take both games. Last time I saw KC, I was unimpressed with their longball, clear it and hope for a lucky bounce style. If the Rapids can play their possesion game, with a few moments of excellence, it will be easy. I say not only will they win these 2 games but they will make it all the way to RFK. Remember, you heard it here first. :)
If I'm wrong, you can go ahead and delete this post.

Here's to no more yellows! And a good supply of anti-schizophrenic drugs.

Given the amount of mistakes that the Rapids make, I wouldn't be surprised if they did make it to RFK come October 20th.

Then the lone security guard at RFK can look at them funny and have no clue what they're doing there.

    (MLS Cup is at Foxboro)

Don't insult the animals by calling Matt McKeon pretty!!!

I like the Rapids in this game... 2-0

Timmy needs to learn how to let the boys keep their collective foot on the gas after they lead, a good example being the ESPN2 game v. San Jose (3-0)

I like the added scoring threat Kingsley is bringing especially with his skull, something the Rapids have been sorely lacking!!!

Nice McKeon comment...funny. Don't forget he used to wear your jersey.

When you are buying tickets, find someone in the lot who has "extras". KC has a policy that all tickets unused are good for any other unsold seat. There will be hundreds out there for peanuts. Save yourself some money, or pay $17, your choice.

5A) Don't forget tailgating; grills are provided in the lot. Bring your own everything including coals, but the grills are there. The Mystics and others will be grilling pregame (in Lot B) and I'm sure you can borrow coals if that's a problem.
5B) Pregame kickaround with the Mystics members and others. (Done at proper drinking pace)
    6) Popa John's pizza minutes. If KC scores during a 3 minute stretch, it's a free pizza. Keep your ticket stub.
    7) Wizards' honies. It's about time for another weight check so maybe they will be in shape.
    8) One last look at the Rapid's road kits. Depending on who they play, they might not wear them in the playoffs.
    9) Casino's, Westport, Jazz, or a good steak postgame if it suits you.

*LOL* Matt McKeon, yeah he used to wear the shirt, he also USED to wear a USA shirt... he's a hack, he only netted once for us (I believe the crowd and Matt all opened our eyes at the same time just in time to see it go in...), and the teams he played on weren't that great... My Uncle and I called him the "Republican" cuz all he'd do is foul the hell out of everyone, and then scream bloody murder when someone pushed him.

You can keep him, if you were smart, you'd put him out to pasture...

No wonder I got those tickets so cheap :)

No, I'm a jackass and it took me halfway through the day before I realized. But seriously, blind optimism is the way to go.
