And no one noticed. More fun on the FCD thread in the youth section than here.

I ran into @ElJefe at the game, so that was a plus.

such an utterly "meh" game, by both sides.

if there's something to discuss is the beyond-bizarre decision to sub in a guy who'd just shown up 36 hours prior into a derby game tied at home.

Until they give up on the sunk cost of Jara it will look like this. Pepi starched the field and gave some room for the mids, they won big and then the money whispers got their guy back in the starting lineup. As someone pointed out elsewhere if they get Pepi to blow up he sells from 5-15 million depending on how good he looks and how many goals he scores. Meaning it may be costing them more to ignore the obvious.

if you ever doubted the idea of Jara being played "because of the $$ and pressure from above" - check out the insane decision to not only replace Thomas Roberts (by all accounts has been shining at training) but subbing in Schön, a guy that had just shown up <48 hour prior.

Easily one of, if not the, most bizarre on field decisions in this club's history.
