Mute button. I see what you did there, and I like it.

Great overall job tonight. Good crowd until the second goal, too.

Everybody looked above average, with no major bonehead mistakes by anybody. Nobody struck me as being truly spectacular tonight, either. I'm extremely happy with a Lake Wobegon performance, especially on a Saturday-Wednesday-Saturday week. Maybe after two wins in a row and a full week of rest, we can break out of our road funk against New England.

Yes, great win. Seattle was totally shut down. Very strange to see Pareja start to park the bus with at least 20 to go. Pulling off Castillo, Diaz & Tesho. It worked out though and we ended up getting an insurance goal. We're still in desperate need of a difference making striker and Castillo to pull his head out.

Agree about the striker but have a theory about Castillo. Does Figueroa add anywhere near enough of an offensive threat to take away some of the defenders on Castillo? I don't think it's a coincidence that Castillo looked better with Hollingshead on his side last year. Cover Fabian with three men and Hollingshead can blow right by and make dangerous passes or shots in or near the box. Figueroa is good defensively but doesn't help out Castillo much at all with runs to draw away defenders or be an outlet.

    That's debatable.

With a speedster (Castillo, Barrios and maybe Tesho) and a QB (Diaz or Rosales), we will always have a counter-attacking threat...given that, I can see why the bus parking approach is tempting but never liked the idea of inviting possession in your defensive third with that much time left.

To be fair, we put in Atiba (a converted forward) and Rosales (a creative midfielder) for two of those subs, so it wasn't exactly straight up bunkering.
