Everything is possible in soccer you know that ! ;)

Seriously I cannot imagine one second that we can loose this match !!!!!
Luxembourg is even weaker than Liechtenstein so...
I'll probalbly go and watch it as I live very close to Luxembourg city.

At the state we're in, I wouldn't be too surprised with a 0-0 score. But a loss? That would be bad even for this bunch.

Nothing to win in this match. Unless we make five goals or more, nobody will be happy. And a loss is always an option.

Well there might be nothing to win, but there's a lot to lose for Belgium. Can't lose to Luxembourgh especially in the first match for the new coach.

Actually I'm quite curious about the names Vandereycken will come up with. I know he likes to surprise people a lot, so I guess there will be a bunch of new names. And will Mpenza be in the team? Any thoughts?

I'm going for a 6-0 Belgium win. Anything less than that is failure, and certainly means you aren't good enough toi finish above 4th in your group.

the last meetings with luxemburg were never really high scores, the last big score was 4-0 or 4-1. So, in the sate we are now, 6-0 would be a miracle,
it should be a simple 3-0

We doesn't like to play "weak" teams so I would'nt be surprise to see a 0-2 win at the end of a "boring" match.

Here the Vandereycken's team for the game on 1 march:

keeper: Proto (Anderlecht), De Vlieger (Manchester City)

Defense: Van Buyten (Hambourg), Turaci (Fenerbahçe), Vermaelen (Ajax), Vanden Borre (Anderlecht), Vanderheyden (Wolfburg),

Midfield: Simons (PSV), Goor (Anderlecht), Swerts (Vitesse), Mudingayi (Lazio), Geraerts (Standard), Buffel (Rangers)

Strikers: Mbo Mpenza (Anderlecht), Pieroni (Auxerre), Huyseghems (AZ) Sonck (Monchengladbach), Vandenbergh (Genk)

Interesting: No E1000 Mpenza, no Kompany (injured), no Brugge-player :D

I think this is a good team, behalf of Sonck :(

I think we can beat Luxembourg ;)

No Brugge Player, but I can see at least 3 former Brugge players on there.

I actually quite like his first selection, despite the lack of Club Brugge players.

    ---------------------------Proto-------------------------------------

    ----Vanden Borre ------Van Buyten------Simons------Vanderheyden---

    ----------------------------Mudingayi--------------------------------

    ----------Geeraerts---------------------------------------Goor-------

    ------------------------------Buffel----------------------------------

    ---------------------Huysegems--------Pieroni-----------------------

    My predicted line-up.

The only thing I'm not satisfied with is Geeraerts on the right side of midfield. On the other hand, the alternatives (Mpenza, Swerts) aren't exactly much better. The way I see it, he should just cut to the inside and make his trademark runs through the center on offense, and go back to his RM position on defence.

    my line-up:

    ---------------------------Proto-------------------------------------

    ----Turaci------Van Buyten------Simons------Vanderheyden---

    ----------------------------Mudingayi--------------------------------

    ----------Vanden Borre------------------------------------Goor-------

    ------------------------------Buffel----------------------------------

    ---------------------Vandenbergh--------Pieroni-----------------------

I think that Geraerts is better in the offensive part of midfield...

Buffel-Vandenborre in the midfield is a strange combination.
and I never want to see Pieroni play for the national team again. EVER
    too mediocre

I don't agree with you on that point.Pieroni scores often with Auxerre in L1 and the team is in the top 5 in the french championship so the guy cannot be considered as mediocre.
