I'm surprised we're not favored. FCC aren't especially good at home this year, unlike last. They are very thin at CB and who knows if Lucho will play. He wasn't even on the bench for their last game. Maybe he's healed up. Meanwhile the Crew are pissed off and on a mission.
The winner of this game is in the playoffs. A tie and both teams are in. https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/matchday-32-who-can-clinch-mls-playoffs-or-be-eliminated In the west, the Galaxy can clinch a spot and the Quakes could be eliminated.
I found an old VHS videotape in the attic labeled "TV Shows" and digitized it to see what was on there. It's wild how big a deal #HellIsReal was back then.#Crew96 | #VamosColumbus | #NorOnTour pic.twitter.com/VznTNxJEdE— Darin (@settingthetable) September 13, 2024
Does anyone know if Lucho is playing? It sounds like he is but he wasn't even dressed for their last match. FCC is missing 4 CBs and their defense has been leaky this season. Miazga and Hagglund are done for the year with injuries and Murphy and Robinson are both on yellow card suspension for tomorrow.
No idea. The totally unofficial MLS player availability report usually doesn’t post until late Friday night. Near as I can tell, the FCC subreddit doesn’t even have a match game thread.
Doesn’t look like weather will be a factor for this one. Temps will top out close to 90, but will be in the low 80s at kickoff and down from there. No rain in the forecast, low humidity.
I just saw in the thread title the 16.0 thing... I didn't realize we'd played Cincy 15 times already. It doesn't feel like they've been around that long.
Lucho said in an interview this week he’s fully fit and ready to go now. We’ll see. Without Robinson at CB, they’re relying on their new guy and who knows what else back there. I’m hopeful that Columbus comes out with their foot fully depressed on their throats and doesn’t let go for a second.
FWIW, the player injury report for today says: FCC OUT: Nick Hagglund (leg) OUT: Isaiah Foster (knee) OUT: Alec Kann (hip) OUT: Matt Miazga (knee) Good guys OUT: Evan Bush (arm) The disciplinary summary says: Ian Murphy (CIN) Suspended: Yellow Card Accumulation September 14 vs. CLB Miles Robinson (CIN) - Suspended: Yellow Card Accumulation September 14 vs. CLB Abraham Romero (CLB) - Suspended: Red Card - Serious Foul Play September 14 vs. CIN
