What a shit week. Daryl Grove passes, then tonight I read that Jerry Jeff Walker is gone as well. 2020 -- go ******** yourself.
Not to mention John Prine. I first saw Jerry Jeff in concert at Earlham College in 1970. The next time I saw him in concert was Eugene, Oregon at the Lanr County Fairground in 1975. After that, the Birchmere. But, in more than some respects, the loss of Daryl Grove is the unkindest cut of all.
DC United's partnership with Caesars is over for the Audi Field sportsbook. FanDuel is taking over with a 10 year deal to operate a sportsbook inside Audi Field. Caesars will remain on United's jersey sleeve for the rest of the year, but FanDuel will not be on United's kits in 2021. United will receive a cut of every dollar wagered at the Audi Field sportsbook. 1321168810527858694 is not a valid tweet id
Someone on twitter made the comment that he looks forward to seeing the money from this go into a signing from the Azerbaijani 2nd division. That was the winner for me yesterday.
We should be looking for young players like some of the other MLS 3.5 teams. Leave the geezers to the Galaxy.
#OnThisDay 1996 (cont.): Here are the highlights from that 1996 US Open Cup Final, which took place 10 days after #DCU won #MLSCup, and 24 days after the @RochesterRhinos lost to the #Sounders in the A-League Final >> https://t.co/hDmrnprtvp— TheCup.us (@usopencup) October 30, 2020
The injured parts, sure. The rest of him has only played 4 professional seasons in 9 years, so he's really like a 23 year old...
Locker room cancer is not a good thing. Ozil apparently has become a head case. On the other hand, maybe, Wilshere could give us something similar to what Bill Walton gave the Celtics in 1985-86, his only near complete season after his foot bone structure gave out in 1978. Maybe, maybe not. I'd still rather spend money on Wilshere than Ozil.
In case y'all are bored and want to have some fun, there is no security at the stadium ..... New on @TheAthleticSCCR:DC United fired its security company in May, seeking to save some money during the pandemic.Their new solution? Having their own front office employees & sales staff run overnight security at the stadium. #DCUhttps://t.co/9nX1rA3qN3— Pablo Iglesias Maurer (@MLSist) October 30, 2020

This sounds like an invitation to ask your ticket sales rep, "Hey, I'll consider a season ticket purchase if you can get me onto the field next week. wink wink"
