Thanks. My wife and I hope to return to Lucca in 2021 in September. Spend some time on Elba, catch the Volto Santo procession in Lucca and a few days as well in Porto Venere. God, I miss it so.

Going to be hilarious playing 6 games in 3 weeks with an always injured striker, his USL quality backup, and 3 CBs. Ben sucks, but how is that roster construction remotely acceptable?

Oh, wow, a guy who scored 7 goals in the bottom of English Soccer -- League 2 -- which is only ahead of the Nationwide Conference as "professional" soccer. I'm sure he and the Estonian Messi will just light the lamps for us.

If he is signed by Swansea and loaned to us, he may be ok, but he is an 18 y.o. kid and would be coming to us for seasoning. I don't think I would send any young kid to us for seasoning. It's not something that DC does well.

Actually I believe Ben has perfected a very good dry rub for seasoning steaks, now when it comes to training young players into competent first team players -- well he should stick to seasonings.

The 6 games in 3 weeks is just another reason why this league is a joke. Why compress it like that? How does that help anyone at all? Not just that we have shitty players but have them pmay, then no games for weeks then 6 in 3. Just ludicrous.

We've had rest and a chance to fine tune our tactics so we can come out energized and on the front foot.

    wait....no, that's other teams.

Pretty much getting a tall twig that hasn’t scored in forever for a guy who probably could have been helpful if our coach played him.

In other news - Miami signed Matuidi from Juventus.

Yeah because CBs tend to lead sides in goals scored.

I think his point was that they should be acquiring a player that can score. Not that CBs should score

And in typical morrissey manner he made his point poorly. Not that I disagree with his sentiment.

During his four years at Marquette University, Sjöberg was a standout, scoring 11 goals in 63 appearances for the Golden Eagles from 2011 to 2014

I shouldn't have to get that granular. If you are getting someone that tall you kind of want some kind of Peter Crouch play from him. He should bag a couple of set pieces/corners per year. If not he may not have basic positioning, etc.

Now Boateng wasn't playing so getting a guy we aren't going to play for a guy who didn't play is a wash but this isn't the move that we need.
