We've played Bosnia a lot in the last decade and in games when it isn't win or die they also play actual football ... that earns them respect. When a team sits back, soaks up the pressure and opportunistically looks for the counter ... you won't see a good game ... it takes two teams for a game of football to break out ... playing Greece is a pain in the ass but hey-ho their GD isn't the worst and Greece can play however they want ... yet getting called on their dire, purely opportunistic, boringly cagey and low-scoring approach to the game shouldn't come as a surprise. Regardless, congrats Greece, you avoided ending up as the worst 2nd placed team ... it sounds like Strachan lost the plot and still played far too defensively while needing a win.

So. A team that plays strategically against better opposition and really looked like they could get result twice against a team like Belgium does not deserve it as much as a team that conceded 8 in 2 matches against the same team, and only managed to score one more on aggrogate?
You are really saying that the reason we won the 2nd spot (aka our defensive mechanism) is also the reason we do not deserve it. Now that's some Schroedinger's cat sh!t here and im not into discussing it.
We didnt play as tight vs Bosnia, Cyprus, Estonia and obv Gibraltar, as we did vs you. Im not saying we re anything close to your level but we know how to play to our limits and power.

Again, Greece can play however they want ... yet do they deserve applause for causing an ultra defensive snoozefest? Without playing like relegation fodder Bosnia could have had a result against us ... they did so in the past ... but in the current WCQs they should have never lost to Cyprus.

After Greece dropped points in the 0-0 against Estonia they were playing with fire (I didn't watch Greece v. Estonia so can't tell how they approached that game) ... in the next game, against us, Greece still played far too conservatively ... luckily for Greece a win in that one wasn't needed in the end ... because Belgium didn't exactly giftwrap the last game against Bosnia (while Belgium had very little incentive to grab another win + for Bosnia it was win or die) ... and because Greece still could have finished as worst runners-up (if Strachan had a plan for how to attack Greece could have easily missed out on the play-offs).

Belgium would rather play Bosnia any day of the week rather then Greece...Bosnia is a team the can be easily exploited by any strong team as there defence is so shit... Greece have been way more successful in tournaments then Bosnia has ever been. Yes Bosnia has offense and can score goals and maybe for fans its more exciting to watch there team lose 5-4 rather than win 1-0 and that's cool. Bosnia will never be as successful as Greece have been with the quality of defence they have. You may call it anti football but the bottom line is your team was UP a man to finally break down our defence to end up drawing the game with us in your own stadium. That same stadium where you absolutely spanked Bosnia in a laugher...Greece is a team that frustrates the ******** out of better quality tams and then tries to counter which is a great strategy Hence why we won the EURO...Why would we go toe to toe with top teams? its a stupid way to play as every team needs to play to there strengths..

Even in prehistoric times they knew that a defensive side adept at depriving the best opposition of time, space and opportunity is hard to break down and at times can grab an opportunistic win ... sure an ugly win is still a win ... but that doesn't change the fact that an ugly win is also ugly. Do the Greeks themselves even remember those games or did everybody fall asleep in 2004? Whenever people bring up 2004 usually Greece don't get much respect ... you probably deserve more credit for that win though.

Bosnia could have easily gotten a point against us too, playing far more positively than Greece.

If we had played the formation we played against Belgium we probably would have grabbed more points and finished second. Having an inept manager cost us but I'd still prefer to go down swinging 5-4 then defend the whole game and lose 1-0. We have more quality attacking players so it makes sense to go forward.

Greece have no choice but to defend all game, that is where the quality of their team is. The attack is trash. You mix a great defenders and being, most times, the dirtiest team in the group and you make it more often then not. I bring up the dirty portion becuase of your previous complaint of being down a man vs Belgium. You guys deserve/earn every card you get.

Good you will "keep going down swinging" and keep missing tournaments pal" bottom you guys are complete morons as everyone knows that defence wins championships in almost all sports.. I understame unfortunately you're a Bosnian supporter and for that reason alone you will NEVER have the glory of winning a tournament like the Greeks did.. you will ever know what it feels like to have your country raise the trophy so go ahead and trash all you want about how "boring and ugly soccer we play" but the bottom line is we have done way more then your team can even dream of.. so keep swinging maybe you will get lucky one day and win a round or two but you will never accomplish what GREECE has done.. enjoy Bosnians enjoy.. lol

Good to see him using the "young guns" Krunic, Cimi, and Kodro. Also glad to see Hajrovic start ahead of Visca, and Duljevic should have played.

Soup10: A few days ago you were whining and fearing that Bosnia will beat Belgium and you lose to Cyprus. I told you it won't happen. And now you come out and say trash. It concludes that you must be just a kid. Greece has been a FIFA member for a long time while BiH only 20 years and came out of a devastating war. If Greece ever start to play more offensive they will earn respect. And some say how Greece drew Belgium twice but it also drew Bosnia. In fact Greece was losing to Bosnia in Athens and tied in 90's minute. But let's see how they do in play-offs.

Pretty sure he’s gone either way, several sites reporting it’s his last match in charge.

In fact his contract expires in 90 minutes so if they re-elect him I won't watch Bosnia games the way I used to.
