There was a formation change and he was subbed out for an attacker while they were trailing. He had a so-so game but it’s a stretch to read more into than that.
The coach is swapping players all the time. Even his best players, while a result isnot save at all. Iirc he already used 36 players. So you can't tell anything from the fact a player is subbed in or out.
I don't watch as many Eredivisie matches as I used to but is my sentiment correct? Is this PSV side simply not as good as even recent teams from two years ago?
Yup. They've made some unhelpfull buys for the defense, like paying 18 million for a German CD who in our eyes can't defend and the midfield isnot great too. They do have a couple of outstanding players anyway like Ihattaren, Gakpo, Male, Madueke, Dumfries.

Heard on Kery news he is definitely out of PSV by the summer. Priority will be to try and stay in Europe but coming back to liga MX not out of the question
He could never adapt to the ligue. With pachuca he played as a deep playmaker only focused on creating attack while burrito was next to him covering hes ass.

La liga MX es muy lenta, y en Europa es otra velocidad. La camiseta del PSV también pesa, tal vez pueda hacer algo en la liga española que es más lenta. A mí me gustaba el futbol de Gutiérrez, pero creo debió salir unos dos o tres años antes al fútbol europeo. Gutiérrez se nota es un gran tipo, muy humilde y tranquilo, pero creo le faltó personalidad y físico para hacerse de un lugar en el 11 del PSV. Pero por alguna razón, creo que puede jugar bien en España en algún equipo tipo Celta, Alavés, Osasuna, Getafe, etc.

Yea, I heard he was leaving 100% PSV this summer but would try to stay in Europe, I don't think any Euro team is interested at this point. Back to Liga MX. H
What gets to me is the fact that he looks like he doesn’t want to be there. Usually you can see guys putting in the effort to try to win a starting spot.

Erick no tiene ni la mentalidad ni la calidad para ser figura en un equipo importante y exigente como el PSV, tampoco el físico. Su fútbol es muy lento, tiene buena técnica pero cero dinamismo, y eso en el futbol moderno es imperdonable para su posición, porque tampoco es un mediocampista defensivo. Pero creo que puede hacer carrera en un club pequeño de España.
