Oh man! Thought he would be safe for another couple of years after the successful surgery earlier this month.
Back in the 90sNapoli said that upon Maradona's passing they would rename the stadium after him. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadio_San_Paolo#Renaming
Responsible for the 2nd and last time I cried because of a football match (90). A unique player and character that we won’t see again on and off the pitch .
Borussia M routing Shahktar which I suppose is a bad result for LPB. Now need a 1-nil or 2-1 win for Inter. That would put LPB under serious pressure.
I noticed that the Segunda B/third flight in Spain has been split up into smaller groups of 10 or 11 teams each. I was sorta wondering for a while what the heck was going on but just assumed that this was done to accommodate for the shorter season that resulted from the late start due to COVID. But after doing some research I see there is a lot more going on. So, here is what I dug up (in case anyone cares ): There are 102 teams (up from the usual 80). This is a result of having 22 teams promoted from the Tercera Division without any being relegated last season. There are 8 groups of 10 teams and two groups of 11 teams. The 2021-22 season will mark the beginning of a new era in the lower divisions requiring a major overhaul of the promotion and relegation procedures this season. When the dust settles, the third flight will contain 40 teams next season and be renamed the "Primera División RFEF". The 4th flight will be called "Segunda División RFEF" (not sure how many teams it will have, but am guessing also 40). The 5th flight will be called "Tercera División RFEF". As usual, 4 teams from the Segunda B will be promoted to the Segunda Division. But only 4 out of 102 teams so this will be a difficult achievement. Now things get interesting, and here is where I will probably get some things wrong so help me out. Since the 3rd flight (Primera División RFEF) will only have 40 teams next season, 62 of the 102 teams in Segunda B will get relegated this season! Let me repeat: 62 teams will get relegated! Barca B will need to have a good season to stay at this level. And last season's failure to win that promotion final is all the more painful now. Currently Barca B is in 10th place in their 11-team group so its not looking good. Of course its very early (only 5 games in) but you have to finish in the top 3 of your group to have a good chance of staying in the third flight. Of the 102 teams in Segunda B, 26 of them will be relegated to the Tercera División RFEF. That means effectively they will be relegated by 2 levels. Ouch! If my math is correct, that leaves 36 Segunda B teams that will get relegated to the 4th flight (Segunda División RFEF)
RIP Legend! A very painful night for someone growing up with his magic in the 80s! A part of my childhood just died with him[emoji174]. His legacy will probably never be matched!
I used to believe 2016 was a shitty year, but damn 2020 is really even worse with the pandemic and lot of famous people’s deaths. Two GOAT tier players are gone within span of 4 years.

Laporta wants Haaland. Btw I had no clue Raiola was close with Laporta considering how the Ibrahimovic saga turned out. https://1.ftb.al/UIpVIw9ZMbb
Madrid pull one back. No matter how bad they play over a game, if they are down at the end of the game Madrid almost always are able to create some decent scoring chances in last 10 mins.
