Even if we just split the head to head with LPB, 5 pts plus probably the tiebreaker too would've provided a decent cushion.
Neither team is consistent enough this year to even consider the notion they could have a cushion of any sort. This is going to be an ugly slog to the finish line.
Well yeah, we can't score without Suarez. Plain and simple. We've already been clean-sheeted 5 or 6 times with him injured, which hasn't been that many matches yet (and the ones we scored were v Ibiza, Leganes, Levante, etc.). Won with blind luck last night, just like many LPB wins earlier this season.
Interesting that LPB’s next Liga fixture is on Friday. Normally they would complain about that but since it gives them an extra days rest before heading to Manchester I’m guessing there are no complaints being made.
Yea, this season would be more unpredictable, reminds me of Tata era where we actually beat RM home and away but not winning the title. There's still 10+ matches to play, so even Sevilla, Getafe and Atletico Madrid could still be a threat if we dropped points in 2-3 matches within next few games.
Atleti and maybe to a lesser extent, Sevilla and Valencia may be seeing a missed opportunity here. Both Barca and LPB are so mediocre this season it was really a chance for someone else to win La Liga. If Atleti kept Griezmann....
Valencia v Atalanta was already set to be played behind closed doors. Next week's Juventus v Lyon will likely be without fans, as well. And now it's been announced that PSG v Dortmund will be playing with no spectators. Wouldn't be surprised if Barca-Napoli also ends up with no supporters present.
If a player tests positive for Corona virus I could see seasons called off. Mbappe didn't train because of illness and might be out of the game tomorrow. No details given. But you have to wonder.

That link doesn't say the match will be behind closed doors. Just that the health ministry thinks that it might be.
Helmond Cup update... All Serie A fixtures put on hold until April 3. Current holders SPAL still expected to defend the cup next against Cagliari
Interesting long read about 10 of the most tortured teams (and fan bases) in football, from ESPN so they include an MLS club, but still lots of interesting clubs and their stories including Espanyol and Malaga: https://www.espn.com/soccer/blog-es...ring-man-unitedmalagasunderland-and-cruz-azul

BREAKING: Several European federations ask UEFA to postpone EURO 2020 until 2021, in order to complete their respective championships. The idea is being considered by UEFA.— Adriano Del Monte (@adriandelmonte) March 10, 2020
Lol Valencia, conceded 8 goals. Actually i think we could lose to Napoli. No Suarez, no Dembele, no Busquest, no fan...
If Napoli win the second leg they probably deserve to advance. But would be cruel on Barca if Napoli win on away goals (w/o playing a true away match). I can totally see that happening too.
Can see the Euros being pushed back to 2021, but not for that reason. Too much money and planning involved to postpone just so that a few leagues can finish their seasons. Not to mention the money involved in the FIFA club WC. Those leagues can simply complete the last 4-5 rounds of play after the Euros. Their schedules are messed-up anyway.
Mourinho - Failed to win his last 6 matches in all competitions, first time ever in his coaching career. - Knocked out at the Round of 16 stage in his last 5 appearances in the Champions League. He's so far out of touch with today's game that when he fails, we don't even make fun of him anymore. Or is Harry Kane's absence a good excuse?
