Starting with one basic page in what we hope will eventually be full multi-lingual coordination on sonsofben.com

We want to be the Philadelphia supporters' club and doing so means we should and need to be as accessible as possible to all future Philadelphia MLS fans.

We still need someone who has advanced writing ability in Portuguese (there's a large Brazilian population in Northeast Philly and South Jersey).

Thanks to Dan (RiverPlate) and Matt for getting this together.

Que Fantastico! But if you want a Greek page I'm more than happy to help out. Oh and don't forget about the Russians in the NE.

Anyway, I should say the reason I made a whole thread about this is that I've heard of a couple of people trying to communicate with an obvious fútbol aficionado and having trouble with the language barrier. Now you can just write down sonsofben.com/espanol (no squiggily over the n required) and they can find out for themselves.

Fantastic. RiverPlate can handle himself in Portuguese but would feel more comfortable with someone else (preferably a native speaker) to work with. I can read Portuguese but can't write a word of it, so I'm relatively useless in this regard.

And don't forget the major influx in Lower Bucks. Lots of Ukranians in Bensalem, too.

The Ukranian colors are that of the current SoB group, too.

Bravo Bolton! That's the extend of my Espanol skills.

Would it be really lame to ask who's going to do the Hmong translation?

I'll cover Calciobonix, Hmong, Ukrainian (those SoB-lovers - I could feel it WAY BACK @ the Dnipro game), and any other off-color threads required.

If his schedule permits, Gabby Johnson will cover the Frontier Gibberish page.

I have players who can translate en Espanol, Vietnamese, a few African Dialects, Macedonian, Bulgarian, and Haitian Creole if needed.

Also, isn't most of the Northeast Ukranian, as opposed to Russian?

I think we need a page done fully in Tommy Smyth, and every time it goes a little overboard Derek Rae can translate the next line to bring it back to Earth

Maybe WAY down the road :D

I didn't think about all the Haïtiens and North Africans in the City and elsewhere...maybe I'll do French anyway; I had sort of given up on the idea.

And most Ukranians, whether or not they'll admit it, can understand Russian; they were sort of forced to for quite a while. Some compromises may need to be made so we don't have a glut of pages.

SoB is becoming quite the movement huh? :)

I really shouldn't give a damn*, but it's "los hinchas" and not "las hinchas" on the spanish translation of supporters.

*come to think of it, i really don't give a damn about philly. Just thought I'd be nice and help.:D
