My 'is it 26 & I's turn' comment wasn't a shot at you btw... didn't even noticed you had posted a pick up as I was fishing out some classic Fabregas images :). Cheers for holding the proxy, btw...
Hey I was able to borrow a friend's computer for a quick email check and to see the score of the United match. Absolutely epic!!! Sounds like the World Draft is going well, kind of sucks how things went down, but I think we will be alright. Torres, Cassano, Alonso is a good start to the spine.
Hey I am going to be away from the computer for the next four days, until Sunday, can you cover the World Draft until then. Sorry.
Are you ready for the World Draft? It should be interesting. I know you have more knowledge on continental players than I do. I would say our EPL player knowledge is pretty similar.
[contd]I said PALACIOUS is a creative player/midfielder...something Lucas ISN'T - not because he is a - as you thought I said - a DM, but because he just ISN'T. ---------- If i am having a discussion with you, and i say "other supporters" it clearly doesnt include you. Did you want me to create a whole new post for each new topic? ---------- You should be a bit clearer when you talk. For one, when you address two groups of supporters as if they are the only ones that exist, that creates an implication I am one of them in that respect. In another respect, because you are addressing your reply to me. Being a tad more clearer will help.
---------- Again you seem to not read posts properly. This is what i wrote... ---------- It seems you don't remember what you yourself write: "Spending the same amount on Palacios as we did on Masch is ludicrous, especially when he would be a back-up player. We dont have the money like the Mancs to spend 15-30 million on squad players." So you DID imply that was the price range. ---------- Lucas isnt a defensive midfielder. You seem to not understand the type of player he is, when it is clearly visible on the pitch and easy to understand when Rafa has directly quoted what Lucas' best position is. As a segundo volante/linking player. Also, Palacios isnt a creative, playmaker in the Xabi mould, he is more like a mix between Huddlestone and Zokora. ---------- I didn't say Lucas is a DM. Your reading comprehension needs working. I said MASCHERANO is a DM and Palacious is a CM - different players altogether. [contd]
If the arch was high and the arch is connected to the instep, then it could still be a true statement. But, the instep is the top. I know it doesn't make sense. It confused me at first, too.
It's funny how Raul can be such an anchor around the neck of this team - even with someone like Casillas alongside him. It was great to see Aragones finally drop him before Euro 2008.
---------- 4) The coach had lost the dressing room How often have we heard that? It’s become something of a cliché and it comes out every time a coach is dismissed. However, it is also true and the biggest club in the world is no different to any other football club when it comes down to the relationship between a manager and his players. No coach can survive once the players stop playing for him and the leaders in the dressing room have turned against him; and when one of those players is Raul Gonzalez and the club in question is Real Madrid – then the manager’s days are truly numbered. Want to know how long a Madrid coach is going to last? Look at his relationship with the influential club captain. There were two recent clues: 1) Schuster recently confided in someone that Raul was like a cancer in the dressing room; 2) Two months ago Raul sat down for dinner with a highly regarded and available Spanish coach….Juande Ramos. ---------- ...
