Cruyff is considered more centralized than Messi but also less productive. I watched all QF, SF and final matches of 2010 – 2011 UCL and Messi was really phenomenon but I still have not watched the full games of 1972 European Cup and at least that game is said to be the best moment of Ajax’s total football and is the highest peak of Cruyff in club career.

Anyway, Messi in the final was seen to be less dangerous than SF and QF. Cruyff scored twice goals against tough defensive opponent Inter Milan in the final. In overall, Cruyff seems to carry the team more than Messi who is much depend on Xavi and Iniesta in midfield.

    Anwyay I guess you’re Argentinian ?

No I was just wondering because in this thread: http://www.xtratime.org/forum/showthread.php?t=268058

You ranked Barcelona 2010-2011 as superior to Cruyff's Ajax, so I wondered if it was the team or the player that made the difference. But Messi scoring in the QF, two in the SF (one a wonder goal) and also in the Final where he had a stellar performance

I think Messi is more dependent (means less influential) to his teammates' creative force than Cruyff who played deeper. In statistic of goals+assist against total team goals (percent of goal participation) Cruyff is much better than Messi in ratio (count only matches against top five teams).
