If I'm not mistaken, some universities require Maths and Physics too; that is, the difficult places, such as Cornell University, etc. In my case, only Biology and Chemistry were seriously looked at, although it didn't stop me from studying the other sciences too. Of course it can help you with your entry. The better your application form looks, the higher your chances of getting accepted into medicine. It can also be useful in Cornell's case, since students at Cornell are required to study Physics and Calculus in their first two years (of pre-med).

I'm going to be a doctor; not a pharmacist, LOL. :p

There'd be no point going to med school, if I was going to waste a minimum of five years only for pharmacy. No disrespect to any pharmacists out there, of course. :p

I'm sorry if I scared you about sixth form. Don't be scared! Everything's going to be alright. It's no big deal. Just remember to keep track of time. Don't let any distractions get in the way of your goals, including BigSoccer.

Since you're interested in becoming a doctor, why don't you try applying for Cornell University in Qatar? There's still enough time for you to get good grades and everything. If you can do well in your A-levels, I'm sure they'll easily take you, especially since you live in Qatar. :)

But you need to take AS Maths and Physics, in my opinion.

      I'm studying medicine. :)

IGCSEs are easy. They're a piece of cake so don't worry too much about them, although you should still take them seriously. Don't let the internet distract you. Do you have any past papers with you? Kuwait has tons of past exam papers for IGSCEs and A-levels. They're the most helpful thing for getting good grades. :p

The A-levels can be more annoying, although not necessarily harder, especially in maths. You don't get to use calculators for core mathematics, although you'll get used to it in no time. :)

AS/A2 Biology and Chemistry are really fun, I assure you. Trust me, you'll enjoy your time in sixth form. The misery only starts as you near the examination dates, LOL.

Wow, what a coincidence. I guess Balochis really know how to marry foreigners LOL. Perhaps I'm distantly related to your brother and sister's dad LOL. After all, all Balochis originally come from the Iran-Pakistan region. They migrated to the "Arabic side" of the Gulf hundreds of years ago. My father jokes about it; he always tells me they breed like crazy, which is why Balochis have probably outnumbered Arabs in some of the Gulf countries, like the UAE, LOL.

Sorry, I got carried away there LOL. So where's Elspamo senior; that is, your biological father? :-P

Anyway, enough of that. You don't have to answer me if you feel like it's too personal, by the way. So you're still in high school? Good luck with the AS/A2 levels LOL. I'm so glad that part of my miserable life is over. Those days well and truly sucked! >_< :-P

      Interesting background LOL!

I'm just studying in Malta. :)

Or I guess what I should say is, I'm supposed to be studying! :p

I'm a Kuwaiti girl but my mother's English. My father's Kuwaiti but he's originally Balochi. That's about all I can say before crossing the lines of boredom LOL.

By the way, aren't you eligible for a Qatari nationality by now? It seems like you've lived long enough, in Qatar, to acquire one.

I love your country, by the way. I really love Sheikha Mozah. I visited Qatar's Education City one time and really got jealous. It made me regret going for Malta LOL! :o

Yup, now I remember! It was Wikipedia. :-)

I was the one who added all the small details about Sadd SC's football achievements. :-P

Are you an American-Qatari or just American? :-P

Your nickname sounds familiar. I've seen "Elspamo" somewhere else before. God, I cant remember where I've seen it... >_<

      Anyway, welcome to BigSoccer! :-)
