You seem to have good advice so I'm hoping I can pick your brain without clogging the boards. Do you mind? My girls play a 3-1-4-2 and I'm not overly familiar with it (as a defender I hate the idea of a 3 back system but I'm willing to go with this for now). Just a few questions if you are up for it. Thanks.

Haha, a long time ago...I think. My brain isn't what it used to be.

Well, 75x50 can still feel small for premier U11/12 girls. You'd be surprised how hard a girl can crack a shot from 30 yards out if she is physically mature for her age. In general, the size isn't bad, and I like the dimensions for play. But, I do think the nets (even at 7x21) are too big of a target - which entices long shots from distance.

Yeah, I hate that falling and flopping is such a part of busquets game, because I am normally such a fan of how he plays. I've argued for the past two years that Xavi should be the player of the year, but the more I've seen of Barca, the more convinced I am that he might be Barca's most influential game. When he is on, Barca are simply unstoppable. When he's out, well, that's when Barca are the most "mortal".

Yeah, thanks! Now to wield this power as a benevolent dictator. muwahahaha.

On another note, I probably saw one of the best U11 boys teams I've ever seen from Northern Steel yesterday. These kids were amazing. First touch set up their next move, they'd try to take you off the dribble, if that wasn't there they'd combine with a teammate, they weren't forcing passes . . . really impressive.

The Rep feature is at the bottom of every post and looks like the scales of justice, then you can click it and leave a comment.

The way I look at it is we are all in it together to develop the players and the game -- and that means develop the refs too.

No. I'm not PA West, but I am close to there.
