I loved Vierchowod as a player I thought he was an exceptional defender. There weren't too many better than him at his position. I remember wwhen Vieeri was in his prime and Vierchowod around 40 years of age, Pietro marked him hard. that is quite an accomplishment. As a coach, he hasn't had much luck he was given the job in Firenze when they were in c2 but then they fired him after a few bad results and replaced him with Cavasin. He as opposed to Ancelotti and Mancini hasn't been given much of a chance....not sure really why?
