haha, I just plan on supporting whatever team Teteh is on. He's a great kid; I knew he'd do well as soon as AIK signed him.

      Hi Marten,

I work for a football tipstering service in London and am trying to find information about the Allsvenskan and Superettan, and your posts are a great help.

However, I'm also looking for some more specific team news before matches about which important players are missing or playing poorly/particularly well etc. Other things I'm interested in are any off pitch issues etc.

I'm sure you're busy but do you think you’d be able to help? I'm not looking for long previews - just any important news where applicable - even if only for a selection of matches each week rather than every game.

Obviously, if you were interested in helping we'd be happy to provide you with a free subscription to our service or we could pay you a consultancy fee for your help if you'd prefer that (or you could try the analysis product and change if you decide it's not for you).

Please let me know if you are interested of if you know of anyone who might be able to help.

      Thanks,
      Alex

Hey Marten, it felt like Sweden here today in Chicago . . . over 2 feet of snow. Just finished shoveling my driveway, walkways, my deck and helped a couple neighbors shovel their driveways.

      Hey Mårten,
They'll really pull ahead when their stadiums are built, and they're making money every home game. All of the teams that don't own a stadium will start to fall financially behind. It's no surprise that Malmö are the best off considering that they're the Champions, it'll be interesting to see if they can defend their title and how they do in Champions League Qualification. One thing thats really important for the development of the Allsvenskan is that all the teams need to develop at a similar rate otherwise you'll end up with 2 or 3 teams who comfortably beat the rest of the league, similar to Spain or Scotland. It should be exciting to see the Allsvenskan develop over the next few years, and I think there will be some exciting times ahead in Swedish football :D.

Going back to work after a vacation is never fun, but making Volvo's has to be fun, as long as they let you take them for test drive ;).

Talk to you soon, Tom in Rochester, NY

Mårten, Thanks for your answers to all of my questions and comments :) . It's fun to learn about football around the world, and the Allsvenskan is no exception. I've casually followed it for a few years now, but for the 2011 season I'll be following intently. I think by the end of this season (but hopefully sooner than that) I'll have a favorite Allsvenskan club to follow. See you soon!

All the best, Tom in Rochester, NY

You're welcome ifkgötet. I've had those items I sent you for some time and have been meaning to send them to Sweden for over a month. As mentioned to you in earlier emails, I've been traveling more and the winter is a busy time for my business (oil & gas marketing), but I told my wife I really needed to send the items to you before Christmas.

I'm really surprised you received the Fire gear so quickly, I just put the items in the mail last Thursday here in Illinois.

Enjoy the gear, have a safe and Merry Christmas with your family and friends and let's both get ready for our respective 2011 seasons. In the mean time, my Chicago Bears beat the Minnesota Vikings tonight and clinched a playoff spot. Go BEARS.

      - Sorry again for the late delivery my friend.

Awesome video! I loved seeing and hearing the Djuragarden supporters yesterday...they were great!

Too bad we couldn't get a single goal... = (

Holy Bananas!!!!! I just got you package today in the mail - I just got back from running all over town today.

You are too awesome ifkgötet, WOW, 3 Scarves and a Ljungberg shirt!!!!!!!:D:D:D

Holy cow, I need to send you a few extra items next week. I'll send you a couple things I have that are unused and still have tags on them . . . I think you'll really like them, very Chicago. I will send the package out after the Labor Day holiday here (Monday).

I will also see if I can get that Ljungberg jersey you sent signed by Freddie himself and send that back to you - you can show your friends!. Also, look for some photos of your IFK scarves in action at Toyota Park soon.

My university plays on ESPN a couple times this season, I'll let you know when.

Thank you again for your gracious gifts.

Until then, get back to Göteborg safely and build some awesome S60's . . . those cars look great and have loads of horsepower (over 300 hp).

Well ifkgötet, I'm a White Sox fan myself . . . don't like the Cubs.

These are the teams I support:
      CHICAGO FIRE SOCCER CLUB
      US National Team (soccer)
      Rosenborg BK
      IFK Göteborg
      Chicago Bears
      Chicago White Sox
University of Houston (my alma mater) - NCAA college football starts tonight!

Since you're Swedish I wouldn't blame you for supporting the Minnesota teams, Minnesota is Scandinavian country. The Vikings and Twinkies are well supported there . . . no MLS, but they do have a second division club - NSC Minnesota Stars.

Well, ther was just not much to say about the match, that was not already covered in the thread... So ther was no reason for me to make comments just for sake of posting... That would be rather pointless...
