2015, the return of Dom. We need to be better this year. That could be said about a lot things besides soccer.

I remember the awesome time when we had when we went to see the Timbers play in the A-League vs. Cleveland. We were hip deep in the Timbers Army. Cant believe how long ago that was.

You're on the missing list for the 40th reunion on 8/6. http://www.cubberley76.com/

If you show up on the 5th, I'll have a ticket for you to the NYCFC game.

2014 has been a downer of a year for the Quakes. So I'm going to Europe to drown my sorrow in really good beer.

      Mark,
don't know if I was too nasty with this, but I sent this (it is just part) to Kaval:

Are you going to wait until the 2015 season when the stadium is complete to bring out a better, game-winning team?
I don’t see anything wrong with our players, in fact, they are all pretty good. I keep thinking that the problem lies elsewhere; you know as the old saying goes, “When the fish rots, it rots from the head.”

Yeah about MLS matches which I do not post about! NO ONE ever freaking talked about Ineternational GAMES! NEVER ONCE! All last year we posted during the WC and Mods & everyone & their mother posted!

No one ever cared about or waited 24 hours!

This is besides the point, you say I knew about it well then if I knew about it as you assume I did, then I would be posting MLS results (which I didn't do) as well, right? Anyway, just worry about yourself from now on and let others be mods and grow up! You are no BS POPE!

Falvo, you've heard it many times, and the start of every post game thread says so. Do Not Post Scores of Other Games Here!! It's pretty damn simple. You've been on these boards for years. You know better. To ignore this long time rule, and then to give another long time poster grief about it is bogus. I called you on because you annoyed me too.

Hey Mark, Whats with the negative Rep? Are you for real or what?

You should be appluaded for your maturity!

      ----------
No, it applies to all matches and you #%^& well know it.
      ----------
How and why will I have known this? I didn't know nothing about it until now and who made you a mod anyway? I hope you enjoy the positive rep I gave you in return! Maybe next time you will learn and take note!

Excellent idea, Mark, on the toys. I'd recommend an EQ embossed Rabbit. That way, the woman can get it on and say, "I'm Quaking, I'm Quaking!" (Is that too crude?)

      no worries, man.

I will also say that although I have thought (and said) before the owners weren't willing to put real money into the team, the signing of Geovanni (and the subsquent results don't hurt) have proved that I was totally wrong about that. It does also seem that the FO is taking a lot more notice of what fans are saying on the internet, reaching out to fans, etc. etc. I can't deny they are making much more of an effort this season, perhaps spurred by the probable decline in season ticket sales due to recession etc.

Anyways, the owners clearly spending some money to make a push for the playoffs, and obviously I hope it comes off !! There's obviously been a very clear improvement both on AND off the pitch over the course of the season.

I watch every single Quakes game either on TV or the internet. When the stadium is built, I will most likely go see how things have changed, as well, and form my own opinion of it, as I always do ;)

      cheers !

Tony, thanks! As you know, I don't get to many games, living in exile as I do. So I was wondering what was up. I can understand that you are annoyed.

Mark - i don't agree with the way they merged the SG's and i also don't like the idea of the supposedly FO created La Doce group. 101 being a Family Section instead of the Ultras - well, the empty seats on TV in 101 speak to how that worked out.

i also don't like my treatment as an individual supporter by the FO but that's a personal story i don't feel like getting into right now, it's mostly about season tickets and such.

i also remember such incidents as the Buck Shaw security taking away an ultra's banner because they didn't like the message or some such nonsense. personally i feel that the FO don't do enough to control the stewards at the match, they are OBNOXIOUS and wouldn't be working those days if it wasn't for the Quakes.

Kiss my butt Chewie! ;) This team has moments where they play well, but lately, it's been nothing but long ball and bunkering. We're likely to get our rears kicked if we keep this up. I'll be positive when I see progress, and not before. And by progress, I mean DOYLE & YALLOP OUT!!

Exactly! I went to a bunch of NASL Quakes games in summer of '75. (Ah, those were the days! When I was young! But not of drinking age. Never mind!) Anyway, in then 18K Spartan, a third of the place was empty and the game on the pitch was laughable. The defenders all played at about half speed. It looked good only because 90% of the players were nearing retirement age and had long ago lost their pace.

      Mark,
Thanks for the comment, I just saw it (7-5). There's too much nostalgia firing up those images of the North American Soccer League and the NASL Earthquakes.

Yes, I'll be there tomorrow night. Yes, I am still up for the game. I'll call you on Tuesday evening. I only have one thing to really do...keep my mom occupied on Wednesday, but have some other stuff to do, too. Oh yeah, go to a soccer game on Thursday. Doug
