I definitely understand your point! Personally, I'm a bit less sanguine regarding our prospects off the field right now - there are too many moving parts, and lord help me, I just don't really trust our owners. I don't know if they are really committed to the Quakes ipso facto or mainly as an adjunct to getting the As to the south bay. Once ground is broken on a (soccer) stadium, I promise my cynicism will abate, but in the meantime, I'm only cautiously optimistic. In the meantime, I agree that our on-field performance is appalling. I find our continuing inability to maintain possession, build strong attacks (instead mostly relying on lucky counter-attacks) or consistently get the ball to Huckerby do not augur well for the rest of the season...

dysthymic? Good work sending an English teacher to the dictionary. Bud, I can be happy about the Quakes off field progress and very depressed about our on field malaise at the same time. Stadium! Practice fields! Jersey sponsor! Meetings with the fans! That's all great! But we suck on the pitch, and that's where it counts.
