So far the weather should be fabulous in Frisco on Sunday. Forecast is still calling for temps in low 70's and partly cloudy..If so, that means less no-shows because of bad weather.

Baymont Inn in Plano (10.1 miles from Frisco) still has rooms available at a reasonable rate. That's where Paul and I will be staying. Hopefully, Kevin L got my tix straightened out.

May not make the afternoon events - summit - but will definitely be there for the Saturday night party. No Victor - he's going to stay with Grandma. :)

Nah - just the sweet smell of GK victory from the Tigres game down in Mexico - when we won the Rio Grand Plate.

"Don't even look at me, 'cause you know I'm going to score" - Dario Sala to Tigres GK, just prior to scoring on him.

Thanks to one and all that came out for the silent auction on Saturday night before the game! It was a good time to hang out and mingle as well as spend money on great charities!

And spend you did you soccer freaks! Because of your competitive natures, the manic bidding resulted in over $5300 to benefit Dallas SCORES, Soccer Kicks for Cancer, The Aeden Hamilton Fund, and Soccer in the Streets!

Thanks again from everyone in The Inferno (particularly justscore and myself) for coming to the auction, opening your hearts and your pocketbooks to the benefit of these great organizations!

Thanks for hosting another great auction.

I'm going to wear the Kenny Cooper jersey with pride -- once I lose a bit of weight. :)

    BTW,

Have you all thought of possibly having one of these silent auctions every year to raise some money for Dallas SCORES?

Perhaps at the FCD holiday get-together for fans (assuming they decide to host that event annually).

Or maybe at the luncheon they have each spring right before the season starts.

    Glad you enjoyed it!

I think Heidi and I need a few months off since we've been in full on auction mode for pretty much the last two years.

We've done three auctions and one raffle in the last two years. There's a lot of schmoozing/organizational activities that goes on behind the scenes to make things run smoothly.

We haven't even gotten together for our post auction drinks yet.

    :p

Yeah - for those who aren't involved, Silent Auctions often sound like great ideas. For those running them, they are a LOT of work. Props to Dana and Heidi once again.

If you're still looking for ways to contribute to charity, there is the FC Dallas Foundation activities like the Poker on Saturday.

I certainly appreciate all the hard work Dana and Heidi have put into the silent auctions, and was just suggesting that it would be great if we can continue this tradition in the future.

Hitch told me the other day, that FCD hopes to make the Holiday Supporter's party an annual event.

I think a silent auction would be a great addition to the Holiday party.

And I'd be happy to help out in organizing the fund raiser.

    I'll be there, hopefully.
