This could only mean one thing....

Great news for Naval, Maritimo, U Leiria and Nacional.:D

I would honestly get used to it...Braga had two great seasons, but with all honesty they are where they always been.

From the blurry feed I saw, Braga had about equal possession except it never carried to Sportings end. Sporting allways looked the most dangerous team.

Honestly Braga is what 2 points away from third, so all is not lost you win next week, and your right back in the mix of things.

I watched the first half live and was so convinced of a victory, I took my son out for a walk at halftime, enjoyed the 14°C afternoon and only watched the second half now :)

Sporting did dominate the game from the beginning to the end. I think that Braga was a little hungover from their impressive UEFA Cup win over Liberec and the legs and the will to play were slow and unresponsive. To their credit, Braga were also missing a number of key players to injuries, so you add that and you get a vastly different Braga side than what we are used to seeing. Sporting played well, and really didn't give Braga much of a chance to score. I keep saying Moutinho had a great game and today was no different. He really is the catalyst for Sporting. I think Farnerud still needs to find his game form, and Yannick to me didn't look too impressive. His speed gave the Braga defenders fits, but I found that he tried to do too much individually for most of the match. Liedson, Liedson, Liedson - you need to start scoring in like the most desperate of ways. I don't care how, JUST SCORE! If Sporting are in 2nd place WITHOUT him scoring, can you imagine how much better we would be if he WAS scoring? Some have said that Alecsandro has been poor, but I think he has done admirably. I have enjoyed him on the pitch thus far - he has been "Bueno" ;) I hope that Caneira's injury is not too severe. Luckily the bwin LIGA shuts down for a couple of weeks before play resumes, so hopefully whatever ails him is cured in time for the big games coming up against Maritimo and Inter Milan - both away.

Not the game that I had expected to see, because Braga are a better team than what they had shown today, but I will take the win courtesy of two own goals and take the 3 points in the bag...

You forgot the Lampionas. Braga are only 2 points away from the Lampioes, and a win next round will have them ahead.
    Forca Sporting, e Forca Braga.

I'll be rooting for the team in red, and white.

With 1 game in hand. How is it everyone chooses to forget this very important detail? I know that if it were another team in the same situation we would never hear the end of it.

You keep looking at the standings and in the end we'll see who's where. If not for a huge horse shoe and an illegal throw in we would all be tied right now......oh, with a game in hand of course. ;)

So, have your fun at Benfica's expense and make sure you enjoy it while you can.

Sporting also lost their only match this season on a hand ball, so I could say we could have gotten a point, maybe all 3 against Paços de Ferreira. We'll see what happens in May - it's much too early to be crowning anyone a champion...

lol I was just gonna say that.- good point

I think Alecsandro has a good game against Braga, hoppefully its a sign that he is getting comfortable with the team and will score some of the goals we need.

I had mentioned that from someone I knew that Alecsandro he was highly regarded in Brasil, and that a lot top prospects played second fiddle to him. I just hope he comes up big against Inter.

yeah I remember what you were saying about Alecsandro and he is showing signs of improving hopefully he can come up big against Inter and in the future Liga games.

Liedson isnt scoring much, but Im sure he will soon... too bad Benfica isnt for another 3 weeks because he always seems to score against the Lamps :D

Any word of when Yannick Djalo will get a sumarissimo for the studs first kick on Paulo Santos?

I just had the pleasure to watch it on FSW Report and i was amazed he not even got a card.

Let us know if you find out how many games he gets.

When every ugly tackle that is committed by an opposing player on an SCP Player then this will happen.

Plenty of ugly tackles to review every week, just ask Petit, all the Lampiao Greek players, Quaresma, etc...etc...etc...

You should be happy, instead like a typical Lampiao you chose to.
    Whaa, Whaa, Whaa.

The CD is to busy handling all the complaints from the master Lampiao, grease head himself.

    I guess it's a lampiao thing.

How could you make any statements like this after a Lampiao ends the Tripeiro Anderson's season.

    Get a clue...

Because what I read from the Lampioes was that "He went for the ball" or "I have seen worse tackles"

    Hypocrisy at it's best...

Lampioes are amazing people...too stupid to recognize how stupid they are:D
