Yesterday after the win as we all came down the escalators singing O United. Then watching the New York fans watch us celebrate and they got sadder Then 3 of their fans tried to start something with Oscar and some other United fans. There were 200-300 of us there celebrating and they were flipping us off and trying to coax us into a fight. Typical New York losers. But we're the bad and violent fans F NY
Their supporter clubs should be called out for not controlling these hooligans. The fault lies with them and them alone. I saw those jerk wads. I was more scared of the stadium food than I was those fools.
I have a new question to add to the SATS: Q: New York fans are to hooligans as: A: A really ugly, new-born puppy is to Mike Tyson.
I liked the guy who was hanging right at the gate to exit with this gem, "Your mayor is a crack head." I retorted, "Barry is no longer mayor". crickets..........
Yeah, he says, real quiet, I had to ask him to repeat because I didn't hear him the first time, "Your mayor smokes crack." I told him he was only about 20 years too late. We laughed about that all the way back to the bus. I'm just glad he didn't come out with something relevant like, "LT broke your QBs leg." Not sure if I could have contained myself if I had heard something like that.
Some disgruntled NY fan gave us the finger as we were leaving the stadium. I blew him a kiss and I thought he was going to completely melt down.
Yeah, he did the same to me. He slapped me on the back, put his arm around me, and told me that my mayor smoked crack. Huh? I was literally stunned into silence -- I couldn't figure out whether to say: 1. "He hasn't been mayor for a long time." 2. "Huh? Tony Williams smokes crack? Does he wear his bow-tie at the same time?" 3. "Huh? Bill Euille smokes crack?" (*) 3. "Yes, Marion Barry smoked crack, California is in the west, south Texas is hot, and north Jersey is a fscking shithole. What's your point?" (*) Mayor of Alexandria, where I live for two more weeks.
I like the guy in the brown shirt in the first one. He looks like hes apologizing for making us come all the way out there.
I can imagine the big guy in the yellow in the second picture saying, "Hey, hey, hey, what's goin' on here?"
I never saw people try to get a beatdown as hard as those Jersey kids. A tip for next time would be to not wait for security to get there before coming out of woodwork if this was in DC there would already be 15 page thread with someone claiming they got explosives thrown at them
I don't know if it's the late-afternoon slanting sunlight or the empty lot in the background or both, but those are two melancholy photographs. Maybe it's just the pathetic futility of their stance. Losers.
Now that I have photographic proof, I'm starting a thread on the MLS boards demanding that the ESC apologize to us and do something about the out of controll violence perpatrated by their members. The violence has to stop!! The RBNY Supporter groups are to blame for this.
If you lived in NY for that long, you might have a death wish too. That was suicidal behavior by NY fans.
