GolTV is showing an old Madrid match instead of a LIVE match featuring the top 2 teams in La Liga? Who made that brilliant decision?
I think the president of Sevilla is having some ridiculous standoff about TV rights and the amount of money the stations give them, blah blah blah ... The result is some of the best football in La Liga isn't going to be broadcast. And I hear Sevilla's been brilliant so far. What I don't get though is...don't Barca fans have the right to see Barca? I mean, it's Sevilla's issue with the TV deal, but it screws over every team they play with.
Whoever did needs to get shot! Ok maybe not shot.. that's a bit harsh... but a good slap upside the head might do.
5 matches in and i haven't seen a barca la liga match yet.........i think im gonna start pulling out my hair soon.... every week all my espn shows are mallorca, real, atletico, villareal and zaragoza..........i mean who wants to watch that
anyone know any places in nyc to watch la liga matches? preferably in midtown, i've only caught games at nevada siths, which is an amazing bar for the big games, but is far for the weekley matches. any suggestions are appreciated. hoping itvn will pick up la liga soon.
If the game is not available in any markets that pretty much rules out all streams. No chance that some chinese pirates could hijack it somehow?
WHAAAAAAAAAAAT? What bonehead is running GolTV? Do I need to start emailing them again on a weekly basis? Here are the FACTS: 1)Barca play beautiful futbol. 2)Everyone, no matter who you support, likes to watch beautiful futbol 3)Barca are the best side in ESPANA 4)Barca are one of, if not, THE best side in the world!! Football and all decisions related to it are completely free of logic.
Yeah I think this is the main reason, but with us being the home team, you'd think Barca has the decision to opt showing it or not.
I have a tough time believing that this match won't be screened at all. The quality of the sides, importance of the match and demand of the public will dictate that it will be televised, imo. (fingers crossed )
I have a camcorder and I'll be there on Sunday. The game isn't on in Spain either. Del Nido is still being a knob about TV coverage. We might go to the Atleti - Recreativo game Saturday night. Depends if my wfe feels like putting up with 2 games in 2 nights. We'll see.
Where in Midtown? If you're in the East part, "Clancy's" is good (52nd & 2nd). They have GolTV & Setanta and will show La Liga if you ask them. In the West there is "Stout" (33rd b/w 6th & 7th). I know they are pro-soccer, but not sure about which channels they have. But I'm a little confused about your post since Nevada's is only 1 or 2 subway stops from Midtown and is the only bar in NYC where you're gonna get good atmosphere for Barcelona games. And since many Barca games are not on GolTV, you better get used to making the "journey" to Nevada's if you wanna see Barca.
appreciate the recommendations. i'm at 56 & 9th. just hoping to find a place i can walk to, and be able to sit at a table to watch, and not have to fight my way through a crowd to get to the bar. can't beat the atmosphere at nevada smiths though for the big games. seems like nevada's will have the sevilla game though.
From FCBarcelona.com This is ridiculous! so nobody except the people in the stadium are going to see the game??? What about highlights? are tv cameras even allowed to film the game? They need to change the rules so this never happens again
Sevilla are crossing the line with this one. This game, besides RM/Val. vs Barca, is the most important imo. LET US WATCH FOOTBALL!
not even in Barca TV. FCB is loosing money on this as they were expecting at least 200,000 customers to see it in BarcaTV. But by law there has to be at least the 3 minutes of highlights available to all tv stations. I know I read that somewhere about futbol in Spain. I may be wrong.
Yeah. Del Nido is off his rocker. I can't believe none of the other clubs are taking him to court for this. Sevilla-Barca is like one of the games of the season. Plus, this has got to be negative for the morale at Sevilla. How are they supposed to be serious challengers for the La Liga throne if nobody even gets to see them play on TV??
Re: Chelsea-Barca Online Yea i want a feed too........i need it desperately my espn doesnt show barcelona la liga games
You should sign up for www.footballstreaming.info -- it's free and you get tons of links to streams for whatever.
ESPN2 has Bayern -v- Sporting listed for CL Matchday 4. Barca-Chelsea is listed on ESPN Deportes. I would assume it to be on Setanta as well. Neither channel I receive.
