If Gus was as good as he and his self-promoting family think he is then he would be a regular for Man United and the USA.
Don't know if it is the same Albert Munoz but there is an A.M. coaching a U7 girls soccer team in Mesquite, Tx
Hey gang! I remember Winston DuBose when he played indoor back in '87-met him after a game they were having in Atlanta in trying to help Atlanta get a team-which lasted all of what 2-3 yrs. Winston is a Gentlemen in every sense and was very cordial. On another note-does anyone know the whereabouts of another former rowdies Goalie-Jack Brand? He played in Toronto-then Rochester, then the Cosmos for two yrs-then Tulsa and then Seattle and then Tampa. Last I heard he was in Seattle but could be in toronto as his father owns a textile factory in Canada and in Germany. Used to write back and forth until his address changed in Seattle and no forwarding was left. Any help is appreciated.

It could not have been 1975, since Rodney Marsh did not join the Rowdies until 1976; he retired from the Rowdies in 1979; they had a retirement game for him where they renamed the team the Tampa Bay Rodneys for a day, and played against a selection of NASL all-stars. Unfortunately I did not get to go to that game. I believe he also did a short stint of coaching in the ASL after that (I vaguely remember something about Rodney Marsh as a player/coach for the ASL Carolina Lightnin' but my memory could be faulty), then returned to the post-NASL Rowdies for a while as coach (or player/coach) and a club executive, not sure what he did after that. This wiki below has good info but is a bit vague on his actual career as player/coach after leaving the Rowdies in 1979: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodney_Marsh_(footballer)
I don't recall them renaming the team, and I thought the game was against the Strikers (though with some guest players). He coached the ASL's New York United for a spell in 1980, then coached the Carolina Lightnin' 1981-83 (winning the ASL title in 1981) before the Rowdies were sold in late 1983 and the new owners (including Cornelia Corbett) installed Marsh as the team's new coach October 18, 1983. He was in charge for the final NASL season and into the APSL years (even made a brief indoor return as a player in the AISA), and may have been in charge when the whole shootin' match went under after the 1993 season. Can't recall exactly.
Petar Baralic is now living in Phoenix, AZ. After playing for the Rowdies, he came out this way and finished his career playing for Phoenix in the MISL. Petar is doing very well and now makes a living providing private training sessions to youth soccer players here in the area. He has worked with my son many times and does a tremendous job! FYI...
Perry Van Der Beck was the last coach of the Mutiny. He works for USL's Super Y league now I believe. Still in Tampa.
If you really want to find out some good Rowdies history, Eddie Firmani's son, the Hon. Paul Firmani, is now a judge in New Port Richey after a distinguished career as a Public Defender.
Also, don't know if anyone's discovered this yet or if I posted it before (apologies if I did): www.tampabayrowdies.com
