Re: nuts... The only place you can get it done would be FCBotiga or the Superstore at the Camp Nou.....I know, everyone is thinking I am being an ass again but no. Here is what I suggest, for anyone who has been to the Camp Nou super store, those workers are like Kiebler elves behind the counter and they iron names and numbers all day. All the jerseys have the names and numbers printed on with an iron on tranferable paper process. A recent press stated, in addition to printing services for name and numbers on the kits, the UNICEF logo has been made an option for FCB customers. Since you probably don't live in Barcelona, access to these stores is not an option. So, call up or email the superstore and ask if you can buy the iron-on UNICEF logo, they should sell them. Take the logo to a local sporting goods store and have them apply it to the shirt.
i still think it's unfair that these unicef jersey's are being released now, what about the tons of us who have the 06-07 bought already, i don't see all of us getting those iron-ons..
It's better for you! Now you have an unblemished copy and maybe an interesting piece of history. The last Barca shirt without publicity.
btw, does any body think that Barca will actually benefit from this deal financially? like, people buying the shirt knowing that they're also donating to Unicef, allowing unicef to sell the shirts for their fundraising (of course, we get a fraction), all this in addition to the commercializing of the Barca name and Brand beyond soccer enthusiasts across the world. From the time I heard this, I was thinking that it's probably not completely altruistic. I think we may stand to benefit from this in many ways. I don't like the way it looks, but hey. I think they'll be wearing both shirts this season and will probably sell both, with the Unicef one at a lil extra cost.
The little scale in the box under your screen name. If you click it, you can give "rep" (reputation points) to someone regarding their post. You can give someone positive rep for a good post, or negative rep for a bad post (usually just trolling, spamming, or general bad behavior- I've only done this once for a racist post). You can only do it so often though, so if you try to "rep" someone who you've recently given rep to, you'll be given that message instead. "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to 35mmMessiah again." Since they won't give you the reputation points, people usually post the message as a means of letting you know that they tried. You can see the rep you've been given by clicking on the "My Bigsoccer" button near the top left of the page.
my roomie says that barcelona are buying anderson from porto, who played for gremio last year. he is 18yrs old. ill get more info later.
i don`t think there is much financial gain until i see it in reality, i mean compared to the other multi billion dollar sponsorship deals being signed by other clubs, it looks more like a good will gesture. But may be we gain to an extent, we will wait and see..
It's definitely not on the scale of typical sponsorship deals. I just think that our deal has the potential for some immediate returns as well as some long-term strategic benefits (including finances). It is indeed a good will gesture, but we may stand to gain from it.
True, i wonder what happened to the multi million dollar deals that we were close to signing with was it some Asian companies. Also i would like to know the state of our debt, may be we are not in debt any more.
I got nothing against unicef, but... The part that says "the last they will ever play without a logo on their shirt" indicates to me that they're going to eventually get a corporate sponsor, unless they plan on wearing unicef sponsors for the rest of their existence. I really don't like this decision at all. "Mes que un club" to me indicates that they don't slut their jerseys to any organization, be it corporate or not. I guess they don't take that motto seriously anymore. Too bad.
Re: I got nothing against unicef, but... Ok, suddenly i became nauseous. If true, this is really a huge dagger. I don't care how much money we need, how (more) competitive we can get, EFF all that. We're doing fine as is. Unicef? Sure, absolutely. Commercial sponsors? HELL NO!!! ARE YOU LISTENING LAPORTA????
Re: I got nothing against unicef, but... I think i read somewhere that said we have a contract for 5 years with unicef.. so in five years they are going to where unicef logo.. it's quite a long time.. and i really hope they don't go to commercial sponsor after that.. it's 5 years long enough for me.. i really want to see it clean without any sponsor on it. Unicef logo.. well it's for a good course.. we have to get used with it.. i really feel guilty for hate that
Call me a bummer, a party pooper, whatever... but I wouldn't want one. Now, if they were giving away something more ecologically minded, like a Toyota Prius, then I'd say, "great'! Who needs one of these Q7 "FUV" monsters in a congested city like Barcelona, or any other city for that matter? What would be impressive is if they all sold them and gave the money to charity.
It's a wonder how you got a yellow card. Josie is cool, she is just trying to help the environment, we all should consider it.
