I usually have found soccernet adequate if unexciting but lately they are very slow to post news. What sites do the rest of you read consistently and how timely do they seem to be.

Amazing source of reliable information, always on top of it, updated multiple times a day, just God's greatest gift to man.

Stick to BS or another Arsenal messageboard. The second anything gets posted anywhere, someone is bound to post it up. I personally start my browsing with a quick check of planetfootball (sky killed the site but it's the best source for quick info, unless you want to watch ssn all day), bbc (slower but accurate and gives you the newspaper round-up) and then tribalfootball (for the banter).

    Simple: http://www.pluogle.com/arsenal is the best.
with this site, you can see all the headlines from skysports, arsenal.com, bbc, football365, guardian and all other football sources. The best bit though, news from Arsenal blogs, i think its better when a story is told from a fan's perspective.

In fairness to tribal, it usually posts information that is gathered from newspapers and often newspapers we do not have easy access to. It's good to catch the rumours and isn't always wrong. Of course, creating threads based only on tribal articles is still a big no-no. :p

The best read, for me, is the Guardian. ( http://football.guardian.co.uk ).

Their level of humour and information is just right for the average fan, IMO.

The Fiver is class. You might need a week to 'get into it', but it's genius stuff sometimes.

    e-soccer.com

    (LIVEnews) tab.

The site claims to be "Automatically searching 24760 news sources every 5 minutes". I haven't found one as comprehensive (though I haven't been to all those mentioned on above).

Hate to revive such an old thread. But I didn't want to get bitched at for starting a new one.

Wondering if there is anywhere besides ESPNsoccernet for a decent live scoreboard. Particularly, I enjoy the Gamecast feature which I haven't seen anywhere else.

I hate ESPN (specifically their damn videos that automatically start playing when you open their site). I've tried the Sky Sports Score Centre, but you can never really tell what is happening as they do not keep track of time. I do enjoy the Guardian's live commentaries, but that doesn't really work to keep track of more than one game.

    Any suggestions???

The Guardian definitely has the best live commentary, but I've always found BBC Sport to be the most quickly updated, or simply the Big Soccer Arsenal Match Day Thread. By the way, thanks for all of you who do play by play. It's always interesting to compare descriptions of events from established sources like ESPN, BBC, etc... and our BS faithful.

I used to use gamecast religiously, before i found bigsoccer. I would sit there for two hours just waiting for it to update. I think it really doesn't tell you too much as to what is going on, except shots, free kicks, throw ins, and subs. However there is one person who does the commentary that does livin things up a bit.

But anyway, my arsenal/soccer stops online include (in order):
Arsenal.com (rules out anything that isn't offical, before I've even read it)
    Arseblog
ussoccer.com (when internationals are coming up/right after)
    dcunited.com (in season)
    bigsoccer
    soccernet

if i have time/if i don't have time but don't feel like doing something, then i might search arsenal on google for news. or i might read other blogs (most of them linked on arseblog).
