Schopp is a good player and plays well in a position we've needed all year, he's isn't the second coming of Jesus or the answer to all our problems, simply a new player. I wouldn't expect much "This guy is going bring us silverware" talk from Bruce, it's not really him.

I havnt heard anything - why cant they put something on the website even if it isnt finalized: e.g. "we are waiting for a work permit etc" but instead there is nothing! I think signing new players is one of the most exciting news stories for soccer clubs, so I hope they make a bigger deal out of it when it gets finalized -

He better be here for the Wednesday game againt the Revs. There's still 6 games left. He could def contribute to our playoff push. I need something to hope for. I don't even know this guy but he looks good in the videos and he's played for his country in Europe - good enough for me.

Re: Schopp should be here in a week - Arena True to a point. I think he's skilled enough to help the team for 45 or 60 minutes if Bruce uses him wisely. And since he's new to the league, other teams will be caught somewhat unprepared. Especially if they double-team Amado as per usual.

Then, if he stays with us long enough, he should be ready to actually contribute by the time the new Stadium opens. =NLK=

I'd feel much better about his potential impact this season if he has been practicing the last few weeks with the entire squad in anticipation of his signing. Re: Schopp joints Red Bulls He was training w/ the team on and off since the Barca game then left for Austria to get his papers squared away... I wouldn't expect much from him this season but you never know... he may be able to have an impact right away...

It will be nice to see how Schopp will mesh with our other players. We still don't have a decent bench nor do we have reliable field players at every position, but if Schopp plays as he did for Salzburg he could be a decent addition to the squad.
