Dallas takes on Chivas in the 2nd leg of the home/away series.

Both teams played well in LA, and hopefully they'll continue to entertain this Wednesday.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Clarke handles our Back 4.

    Gbandi-Yi-Goodson-Moore/Moor would be my pick.

    Note:

FCD has 2 more home/away series coming up: vs RSL and vs LA.

Should be good practice for us in preparing for the 1st round -- let's see if we can come out top in all 3 home/away's!

Like your back four....won't happen unless Vanney loses his way to the stadium though.

Gotta say Goodson had his best game of the season on Saturday IMO. That being said, I still prefer Yi out there to Vanney or Goodson.

Put the young guys out there until they lose the position.

I'd dance a jig if that happened.

I agree. In what playing time he's received, Yi's looked the best so far.

Goodson's inconsistence concerns me a bit. So whether you choose Clarence or Greg depends on whether you're willing to take a few risks or not.

he is the son of my closest friend but hardly a "protege" of mine. not sure if he was too pleased or very understanding of being subbed out saturday and probably has as many questions about it as most on these boards...(haven't spoken to him....just making a guess)

Yeah, I noticed that too. I guess itis more important how you look in practice. At least Goodson is getting over his bad luck/ bad spell voodoo period. If he could knock a few in (have to make sure he understands I mean the opponents) goal then he would move up the charts.

    *Dear Dallas,

*Is there any way that you can demolish Chivas tomorrow, but also suffer 5 or 6 red cards so as RSL can beat you Sat? We really need the points, and hell, let's face it, you don't.

*Joking of course. I always enjoy catching the Dallas matches on DK; good luck against the goats.

You should considering most of the RSL team in the first year were Burn rejects.

What are the odds of Matt Taylor's hair finally achieving sentience during this game?

    Can't say....

But with "El Guzan-oh" back in goal, I'd say ROB's chances of uncorking a screamer golazo from distance have increased dramatically.

Last night on the FC Dallas radio show Claudio Suarez was giving props to Goodson. His initial impression (formed the last time FCD went to the HDC) was that Goodson was carrying a bag. He said he was forced to reconsider after Goodson beat him to every air ball at each end of the field.

Man, what has happened to Preston Burpo? I really thought he was a pretty good story early on in the season. Ya know, a guy that is NOT young, hacking away his time with the Seattle Sounders, doing his job, biding his time, etc, but without much interest from 'big clubs.' Then Chivas comes calling, he wins the starters' role and was very instrumental in Chivas getting off the schneide and becoming competitive this year.

Plus, he signed my boy's ball, which is always nice. But, I have to say I was kinda rooting for the guy, but it looks like his deficiencies have got the best of him and now he gets booed regularly when 'keeping by the Chivas faithful.

We all bitch about Vanney and Goodson and (insert player du jour), but we've got no one that we all just boo regularly; not even Mister Own-Goal has achieved that.

I wanted to beat Ze Bill :) to the fashion question of the night ...

what jerseys will Dallas be wearing?

Home? ... last time we played Chivas, we wore the Tigres kits, does Chivas have a 3rd kit, maybe a blue one like last year (their home and away would clash with our home)
Away? ... at home? crazy to think of
Tigres? ... again? doesn't make any sense, the FO would have advertised the heck out of that

Chivas has a blue third jersey that looks a lot like the Revs jersey. I imagine they'll wear that.

I specifically remember them wearing it once. I think it was against the Fire, let me go check.

Edit:Yeah it was when they played at Chicago.
