Yeah, fans here are pretty tame compared to those fans. The Grenal it is referring to on that page is the name for the game between Porto Alegre teams Gremio and Internacional. I remember in Brazil when a stadium colapsed during a Sao Caetano and Vasco (is that right FM?) game. Though we all need to be civilized, American fans are really tame compared to the rest of the world. Ahhh, the Grenal. That is the most idiotic article I've seen written on the subject - having personally stood through 10 min of Pablo's freak show (as I waited for the stairs to clear up a bit)... that guy should have 1) been disciplined by the league, and 2) is lucky that this is not Europe or Latin America because it wouldn't have been a few people throwing programs or water bottles at him.
The moral of the story: You only get disciplined for "inappropriate conduct" during celebratory moments if you spit out the product of one of the league's sugar daddies on ESPN. Love, Cynical in SLC

haha did Eskandarian get fined for the red bull thing? I thought it was brilliant. The article from Matchnight.com is ridiculous in every way. Was the author serious about writing that way? It's almost as repulsive as that photo of Mastroeni in drag, which I think we should definitely have blown up posters of all over the place next time he comes to play here. And after we trash the Rapids we should hold them up out by the little exit area where the players walk out and sometimes sign autographs, and everyone should be begging him sarcastically to sign their poster of him in that godawful pose. If none of you do it, I know I am at least.
