Just wanted to point out that Kebzach and I are in 100% agreement. Maybe we should fly out to the Middle East while the iron is hot.

I'd love to go along, but I'm a little short on traveling money. Perhaps if Steve had ever paid up that $ 50 from last season...

Carr had to get in between Herron and Robinson after he went down. It looked to me like the defender let the ball go by because he thought that Herron was charging him rather than the ball.

it's actually a 59 yard shot, if the field is really 120. I have no reason to believe it isn't, outside of the fact that it always looks so congested when we have the ball compared to the other matches i watch on DK. I'm perfectly happy blaming Dave for this effect, if you say so Kenn. ;)

Throw-ins have fallen into the "Lost Art" category in MLS. If you watch enough MLS games, you'll see 3 or 4 violations (side throws, foot up, etc.) every game that are not called. Thank goodness they don't call it as close as an under-12 game. ;)

I believe Zach just gave DeRosario his 3rd straight goal of the year, but if I was voting DeRosario shouldn't get because of Zach's couldn't get his fata$$ back in time to catch a 60 yards pop up.

I would really like to see "Slim" Start sundays game, I have always been a fan of Zach. But he is getting old and slow.

well, the ball elaves his foot just in our half of the field, so if there are 60 yards each side of the center stripe, that leaves 59 yards of flight.

actually, I was just being a jag.

Well, I've finally watched the game tape and it confirmed what I originally thought at TP after the game. I see everyone has covered the negatives pretty thoroughly but I did notice two unusual things about the Fire's performance Wed. that encouraged me:

    1) We didn't try to bunker immediately after the first goal.

    2) We didn't give up after their second goal. We kept fighting and even though we got extremely lucky, it eventually paid off.

btw, I suspect Brown was subbed because the foul correctly called on his moronic, unnecessary two-handed shove on Moreno cost us the first goal. And Pickens should be our starting keeper on Sunday.

Brown had muscle spasms. Thornton will likely start, vs Tony, great, old man stink.
