Manager Russell Slade has this afternoon confirmed that two of Yeovil Town's young up and coming players will be going out on loan in order to gain experience as they look to fight their way into the Huish Park first team.

Both Gavin McCallum and Brad Thomas have been fielded out to Conference side Tamworth.

The winger and the central defender have joined the Lambs for a month, with the Gaffer looking to keep a close eye on their progress.

Speaking to www.gwsc.net this afternoon Russell said:

"A couple of our younger players Brad Thomas and Gavin McCallum are going out on loan to Tamworth in the Conference."

"I think that it will be fantastic for them. They will be at least playing in front of two or three thousand people every week.

"I think that they will be playing Exeter in the first game, and it means they will get what I would describe as competitive football, and that will be good for them.

"It will be a good experience and I will make time to go and watch them whilst they're on loan to see any progress that they may or may not be making."

Weird, the CSA website still list DeJong as being with Helmont Sport or Olivieir with the IMpact but they already made the change with Simpson.......

I was kidding :D I'm sure that poster is the real deal.

But how does the CSA get Brennan and Josh Simpson's club wrong, but Dave Simpson's club is changed right away?

As I'm not signed up at Vs and seeing as Dave is posting there can someone post there asking about the status of his former Lombard Papa teammates. Are Lalli and Karim still there? I believe Peart and Ornoch are but may as well inquire as well.

I believe Dave Simpson has posted before and that it is him and other sites do confirm the signing.

I'm pretty sure Crawford is a U.S. citizen. Whether he also has Canadian citizenship, I don't know.

Hey Kurosawa, thanks for the credit. Good to know one's work is appreciated :)

And now that everyone is up to date that should be my last post for a long while, as I try to get away from PCs and lose that excess poundage caused by sitting in front of these infernal devices.

If somebody can take over the list here and keep it up to date that would be great.

Accoding to SCF08 Jacob Lensky signed with Feyenoord.

Jacob is going to play on an amateur basis until the transfer window opens where he will sign a professional 4.5 year contract.

    Good job Jacob!!

Just a headsup to those who follow this thread, I'll be spending far less time on the Internet in future and not posting, but the most up to date version of the Canadians Abroad list will always be available at the link below. Tks
