Speaking of Dante, check out this quiz and find out where you'll be hanging out soon.

Second Level for me, I'll be joining Helen of Troy and Cleopatra.

The idea that 8000+ Open Cup attendance is equivalent to 8000 Giants Stadium attendance is laughable to say the least. When is the last time Metrobulls have had as many fans in seats as their announced attendance at a league game? OTOH, is it very likely that DC 'boosted' the attendance total for their US Open Cup crowd? There could have been 2x as many fans at the Open Cup match as there were at the Giant Stadium affair.

BTW - I think it is really cool that RBNY could sign a new coach, pay him over $1m large per year and create such a ripple of fan support that their attendance is not affected at all.

Furthermore, seven deadly sins that God abhors are found clearly delineated in Scripture. And even if you don't find their being marked out as such in Proverbs being operative - PRIDE (especially of the sanctimonious variety that you are peddling) is clearly abhorred by God and by Jesus Christ as is made manifestly clear throughout scripture. Perhaps you ought to consider being more modest in your deportment and with the way you throw around your status as an ordained minister.

Finally - the notion that your ordination should mark you out for special protection or exaltation or something (from violence) is pretty specious if you ask me. I would anticipate an ordained minister (as ostensibly a mature believer) to be someone who was self-sacrificing and who would willingly put themselves between an innocent and violent action. You might even note that the greatest minister of all underwent great violence in (the ultimate) defense of others.

Hopefully no RBNY or DC fans will ever be troubled by fan violence again. But I hope that if you DO find yourself in the vicinity of said violence that you do not act cowardly and run/hide beneath your ordination. It would be better to exercise yourself to prevent others from being harmed (even if at your expense) and/or to be a peacemaker - rather than a scoffer and instigator as you are proving yourself liable to be based on this conversation.

when I click on the quiz, I get a blocked message saying "chat room". I guess that's where I'll have to spend eternity...there will probably just be NY fans there too, as well

I can not belive this stupid thread is still around. Look Pebbles, I'll give you and your's some advice. Instead of acting like an extreme fem gay man on Pride day in San Fran waving your purse to ward off a homeless man, pull the thong out of your ass and defend yourself. Every time your group claims they were attacked by baby eating rabid United supporters, the numbers were in your favor. The Skinhead thing, you had over 300 to their 8. Grow some balls and stop demanding that the DC supporter groups play body guard for you and your friends candy asses.

And Jesus H. Christ, will a Mod close this thread. Damn I hate being the adult around here.

    Mr. SC,

It appears that you feel it necessary to join in on the utter debacle and demonstration of how DC United fans feel necessary to justify fan violence. Welcome. I truly apologize for taking your argument to pieces.

I am not going by the announced numbers, I am going by the statements of individuals that were in attendance at both. Those that were there said the attendance was the same.

Which has nothing to do with the topic hand. I am certainly glad you pointed this out. Nobody would have recognized this occurance had it not been for this statement. Thank you. We are all forever greatful.

The church or churches or whichever you state are a falsehood. They are mere edsels for profit and I will have no part of it.

My service is in that which exists and is real. The Bible, which is full of faults and adjustments for political power is not part of it.

It is sad that you continue on this route. I suggest moving along.

One thing I am not is pusillanimous. Your mere suggestion of such is demonstration of how little you know as well as your outright flummery. I suggest you go back and try working towards a meaningful solution to the problems that persist in your own house. Until you clean that up, the black mark will continue to stain all fans.

Clarity is only clear to few,
    P

    Mr. Brother,

Might I suggest that "adults" don't throw around bigoted text such as this. Maybe next time, you can insult some Asians or Latinos.

Additionally, your post demonstrates you know little about what you type. So disappointing.

    Watching as DC promotes bigotry,

I am mighty. I have a glow you cannot see. I have a heart as big as the moon. As warm as bathwater. We are superheroes, men, we don't have time to be charming. The boots of evil were made for walkin'. We're watching the big picture, friend. We know the score. We are a public service, not glamour boys. Not captains of industry. Keep your vulgar moneys. We are a justice sandwich. No toppings necessary. Living rooms of America, do you catch my drift? Do you dig?

If everybody just starts posting one word, we'll get to 500 a lot faster and a very nice moderator somewhere will be kind enough to rid BigSoccer of this thread that just won't die.

Do you think I would get more respect around here if I told everyone that I was a notary Public?
That is like being an ordained minister right?

Wow, a minister and a redbull/metrostars fan. So sorry for you. On both counts.

There is no god, and the redbull/metrostars suck a mighty sucking - you have clearly wasted your entire life.

    no? just a puss then?

And when did "an M80" become "hurled explosives" - you know M80s are just firecrackers since about 1984 (before that they were actually dangerous), and unless you are holding it in your hand, it won't hurt you, right??

When we went up from 96-2003 or so we NEVER visited NJ without some sort of violent incidents. The way WE fixed it (since you or your FO refused to be bothered) was by practicing simple safety - trying not to go off alone from the group, etc. That and often having more fans at the games than came from NJ locally, so we had numbers on our side. Still, most times, one or two little incidents occur. As long as no one is hurt, simply telling people to act better next time seems to work.
Bitching and moaning an exaggerating each little incident just makes it worse. At first I felt sorry for your group, but now I kinda hope you get caught in gang cross-fire and never return to Jersey next visit.

If I were trying to sound like a bigot I would have said something like "Hay preacher man, don't you have a cabin in the woods, a 12 year old and a case of cheep beer to be tending to?" No.

Instead I advised you to stand up for yourself.

Color me unimpressed, but thanks for welcoming to me this thread in a public forum. So gracious of you. At least it shows the capacity for gracious action - something I have not seen a lot out of you so far.

Whatever. Logic and experience compel me to disagree. It is difficult to judge relative numbers in stadia of such different size.

Hence the use of the phrase "By the way (expressed in shorthand as BTW). I would suggest you learn to use such simple constructions. Sometimes they are more effective than the lavish language that you pamper yourself into thinking makes you sound superior.

    . . . lest anyone think you are a tolerant fellow . . . go on.

. . . and yet you are a Red Bulls fan. Your utter hypocrisy is now laid bare for all to see.

Great. We are supposed to take your word for all that is good and right in the world? Kindly direct me to your truth-source.

Yeah. When you don't have a compelling answer for your own disgusting points-of-view, it is easier to avoid the fact that you are a self-serving nitwit and try to move the conversation along. Ordained minister? Perhaps in the church of self-righteous narcissism.

But you sure are loquacious. To the point of making me bilious. Pardon me while I vomit.

I forgot that I was talking to _od himself. Pardon me.

You have certainly provided me with a fine example of that yourself. Both in your suggestions for these sporting insitutions, as well as in your personal deportment.

A logical incongruity based on your last offering. If I have responsibility for fixing my own house - you have responsiblity for fixing yours. And yet you have already told us in this very thread that we are our brothers' keepers (wonder where you borrowed that concept from?) Which way do you want to have it?

You are talking yourself around in circles (most have been staring at/smelling the stink of the empty miasma of the Swamp for too long). You are not illuminating anyone. Nor are you leaving anyone with any doubts about your character.

And self-awareness is even more rare.

    Mr. Brother,

After your bigotry is deleted you may have a point. I know that if I were a DC United fan, I would be extremely embarrassed about the demonstration of complete ignorance, bigotry and endorsement of violence.

Maybe Mr. Bastard was unaware that his fellow DC United were doing the "safe" thing onprevious Wednesday by parking their cars in the ESC tailgate lot. Afterall, it was the DC United fans that created the "safe atmosphere" at Giants Stadium, right? This is why there is no trouble for those that came on Wednesday.

Of course, Mr. Bastard demonstrates the same internet biceps that the rest of the DC fanbase has shown here. Maybe one day, he'll actually grow up.

    Of mice and,

Well since it is one pompus a** being condescending and insulting to a group of people of which I am one (are you?) with no constructive outcome possible I would like the thread closed or moved to rivalries where these kind of conversations are common.
Thinking it is dumb and thinking it should not exist are two different things.
