NO. It's getting silly now. Too many big stars for limited places can have the opposite effect. You still need the hard graft player working in and out for the team. Such team players are the ones who makes the stars to shine not the the stars themselves. Preparation is the key. Hang loose guys.
I won't argue that a midfield of Ballack, Makalele, Essien, and Lampard isn't going to perform well most weeks, but Geremi, Boulahrouz, SWP, Drogba, and Essien are far, far better than the "graft players" most other teams will have.
