Standard are up against it, as they drew at home 2 - 2 in the first leg against a pretty good Steaua side. They'll more than likely need 2 goals in this leg. Group draw is tommorow
not that its a great option, but steaua seem to have a free audio webcast in romanian at the top of the front page http://www.steauafc.com/nou/index.php?cat=main&lang=ro
They just had one or two chances denied.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/match?id=204816&cc=5901 Graham Poll officiating this one....no wonder we already have 3 yellows
Kiss of death, indeed. Looks like it was a bad bounce or something... Le Steaua égalise par l'intermédiaire de Badea: ce dernier trompe Renard d'un tir à ras de terre. 3-3, Steaua would advance on away goals.
its hard to score on the road, and because its so hard, if u took away goals away, teams would play defensive... Standard jus needs one more goal, if they can score then they will be even on away goals...
I never understood the reason why the whole away goals rule exists. I mean, what if you give up an own goal at home...should it really count double for the other team? bah. That's just the way it is...
Standard keeps attacking, playing well, pushing forward they need to be careful, Steaua is pretty good on quick counter attacks
I'm listening to Steaua's audio. I wonder how much Romanian I'll learn in the next hour? Although it could be in Portuguese for all I can tell. But I believe the Romanian word for corner may be "corner".
