We should close the borders. Far too many Okies making it across the Red River these days.

i'm not trying to act high and mighty, and i misunderstood the run-on sentence comment, so forgive for that. I have been treated like shit before an dit isn't a good feeling, so i don't chant things that i would find offensive, including said "close the border" chant. I do find myself several times per game not chanting because i don't like whats being said. If i come across as demeaning to houston fans, once again i am sorry, but i don't want to be treated like criminal and outcast when i come to support my team and cheer them on to a 1-0 loss or a 4-3 loss. Forgive me if i don't want to be told i suck and i need to go home. I mean this post in the most sincere way possible, if you knew me you would know i am not cocky or "high and mighty", i try to be as nice a guy as possible and i'm just trying to get a point across.

I do understand that a little chiding is all in good fun and that's perfectly fine. I guess it's just the heated rivalry that gets to many people and we have this manufactured hatred for each other. If i came across as a jerk, once again i apoligize.

No need to apologize. Like you said, it's a rivalry and there's going to be trash talking from both sides. Just don't think that it's all Houston fans doing it or say you're above it. We got plenty of taunts from random people in PHP when we came up there earlier, you have to expect that when you wear the opposing teams colors in a stadium, that's the best part of making these road trips.

Chanting "close the boarders" is racists!!!!!!!!! because you know and I know that you were trowing that at the Mexican people at the stadium or were you talking about canada's open boarder I dont think so. I bet you only want people to speak english only.

i really dont give a crap what language you speak, have you heard of that Stand up Speak up thing that Nike did, that is a quality movement and something that should be adopted worldwide. I may say the off-color comment occasionaly but that is a RARE case.

psst, it's a rivalry, no one's getting deported or killed over this, unless they're okies.

That strip of wall paper that goes around your kids bedroom. The motiffs are usually Noah's ark, or animals of some sort. Boarders use to be only for decoration, but evidently they keep Mexicans out and Canadians in...

    1)a person who "boards"
    example: skateboarder, snowboarder, mountainboarder
2)someone who rents a room in an occupied house

with example 1 in mind the chant was clearly directed at canadians(pronounced CANA-deuns)

I was in Houston for a while. I did a little currency arbitrage there, while waiting to get back into trading, which I eventually did in Dallas. I want to say one thing about the Houston summer.

It is not humid at all.

Of course, I had recently been in DC, as I am now, so a meer 99% humidity would have seemed like a blessing.

Gator, I know of what you speak. It is so humid, that even in an evening with a breeze, it is difficult to do so take a walk. Sad, since I am in one fo the few areas where it is safe to walk. Only three miles from the Capital Mall. A walk in the Mall under moonlight, like a beach, is romantic, even when you are with the least romantic person in the world. A kiss at the top of the Washington Monument causes the ice to melt just a bit.

Say, is Houston supposed to have a stadium? Was not the deal with the MLS, that Houston could build a stadium? Have they? This is why I opposed that stupid Lone Star Shoot Out, with The Captain. There is no natural rivalry with the Portland Timbers, which is what the Dynamo will be in a few years. More Tricky Tree boys.

    Dead but dreaming,
    Scipio Diabolus,
    vox fatum.

    Contra.

If Deigoredd says it is tv gold, what else do you need?

On a radio show the other day our team's president said that they're working on several locations in and outside the loop. I got the feeling that any real work on a stadium won't come until after this first season.
