All of this Beasley speculation is based off of one small article from a local SLC paper. Deseret News sources CLAIM he's unhappy, and that he wants to play for Ellinger again (oh dear, why?). Nothing on the Euro radar about this. Nobody (on RSL boards OR here) can provide evidence that he is miserable over there/ not getting along with the coach/ missing his girlfriend etc. *Nobody would be happier to evidence than me, so if anybody here can provide more than what we have here or at the RSL board (speculation), please stop by and share it.
"... jersey chasing fanboys that get hard ons when an American plays at a big club in Europe." He keeps up posts like that, he's gonna have folks spreading something else before giving it to Onionsack again. That's for sure. I'm thinking I can cancel my www.talkdirtysoccertome.com account.
Say it ain't so!!! What team can afford him? Where would he fit in?? He is far better than anyone in the MLS. Pray he doesn't come home!!
Yes because quiting the moment things arent going your way is the way to show the world we are serious soccer players. Look at the long list now of Americans going overseas and then quickly coming back because they "arent happy". The negative impact of this remains to be seen but I can imagine many European clubs will say hey we can get this guy who thinks it will be an honor to play here and will tough it out because he is being given a huge opportunity, or this other guy who most likely will quit after a year or two. Someones gotta tell these guys if you wanna play with the big boys you have to suck it up every once in a while.
Or, that Beasley has given up on himself, unwilling to compete for a starting role, still not recoved sufficiently from injuries (excuse?), lonely and partying too much, just wants to return to the US (but to Utah?), etc. Who knows? Hopefully, DeMarcus finds whatever makes him happy.
I can't believe some people are calling him a quitter. This isn't a Donovan, "I'll give it 2 months and see how it goes" situation. The guys been there for 2+ years and if he isn't comfortable than by all means he should do what is good for him as a person. I think some people on here forget that these guys are humans and maybe they aren't exactly worried about their career and national team options and would just rather be happy doing a job they love in a situation they would rather be in. That said there were rumors a few months ago that FC Utrecht wanted to bring him in as a replacement for the Wizards new singning Van Den Bergh.

Agree with you. And injuries aren't really an excuse. He played 27 games for PSV last season (only 4 less than Farfan) so he got all the chances he needed. And he got benched by Hiddink when he was fully fit. I hope he finds some fighting spirit so we can see the DMB we saw the first season.
Of course, there's also the difference between a decision one makes at age 16 and a decision one makes at age 22.
"...well down the pecking order..." and "...free to go..." don't sound real promising. Of course, that is just the reporter's observation, but it isn't really looking well for Bease. He better come back from this injury better than ever. The sale of VoH would definitely move him up the pecking order, but either way, it doesn't sound like he is in a good place at the moment.
What the hell happened to that guy, huh? He was doing well, then had a bad year, and now wants out? Actually... does anyone have quotes from Beasley saying he wants out and why? Real, hard, quotes. Or better yet, an interview? I think the situations are a little different, but we'll see how it pans out. Beasley spent 2 years in Eindhoven. He wasn't at his best in the second half of that year, and you could see it. He turned on his manager in the cup and just wasn't really 'with it'. Something's up with him - going through the motions. Donovan on the other hand, I think it's more of his personality. He never wanted to be in Germany and gave a half-assed effort to fulfill the obligation in the end. Surprise surprise, in the World Cup, both players seemed to give a half-assed effort except for the one match where they had to give more (when they were down two men). Leadership problem with the USA. Donovan's not the answer, and Beasley never was (IMO). But I think it's better to sit back and watch this one unfold. See what's happening in Eindhoven, and what's happening with Beasley. He went from clearly being satisfied and enjoying himself to miserable in a drawn out cycle. Can't help but believe that several things have been going on behind the scenes. He was a better player 2 years ago than he is now... his touch is abysmal now... can't capture a pass to save his life. He's not focused.
There is a good chance Kromkamp will move to Eindhoven. Liverpool have to sell some players because they signed Kuijt. And PSV have been after Kromkamp for a while now. The PSV chairman, Westerhof, has also stated that, in order to sign any new players for PSV, others have to leave. This really increases the chance of DMB leaving imo. I think he's no 1 on the list (because Ooijer and Vennegoor are too expensive for resp. Blackburn and Porto).
Of course he should do whatever makes him happy. I think the feeling here is that they'd rather he left on his own terms _ even if that meant returning to MLS _ rather than appearing to be in a "here's your hat, what's your hurry," type of exit. It's not at all uncommon for players to move on after losing favor. It's also not at all uncommon for players to lose favor after losing form. This is simply part of the game. he had a great first season, exceeded expectations. He's fallen apart in the past eight months, though. A chance of scenery is probably a good thing (if not now, in january). Not that I will believe this is happening until it's sealed.
Bolton may table a buy-out bid for VofH since Borgetti is 99% certain to leave and Big Sam needs more (good) bodies. Ooijer will probably stay because Blackburn re-signed Ryan Nelsen. And Kromkamp was supposed to have been replaced by Daniel Alves at 'Pool but that deal never materialized. It would however make a lot of sense for PSV to get cover on its right defensive side.
Whoever turned on the "Euro radar" is almost certainly a web reporter at Sky who reads BS, followed the link to the Deseret News and tacked on a little value-add to a real story on VofH. That guy knows nothing more than we do.
He ought to leave PSV for no other reason than the fact that Koeman is a horrible coach who could do serious damage to his confidence (like he needs THAT right now) and, by extension, his career. I'd love to see him stay in Europe, even in the Eredivisie, perhaps with a mid-table team where he can be a solid contributor. Maybe then he'll get his confidence/form back, and can move to a bigger club.
This is a great time to think about leaving 3 days before the season starts I dont think it will happen
I know but thier been sighns of him getting fustrated and he should have said this earlier if this is true
