Note the girl in the Madrid jersey cheering the United goal.

Is he putting the Vulcan Mind-Meld on Erpen?

Or maybe he's shielding his eyes from the horror of another bad give-away.

    :D

Werd...that's probably the one thing about the game that really disgusted me. If they would've booed Esky, I'd be murderously pissed even now. But whatever, it was a great match, and well worth being completely knackered today to see live. :D

well she's a "convert". formerly a eurosnob, she has seen the light...which is black.

yeah, i was a little annoyed by the newbie-fan-bandwagon-jumping, but it all turned out ok in the end

and, sounderfan, thanks again for updates and info and pictures

I've been lurking on the Sounders threads that complain about the tenuous existence and sparse support that team receives. Vancouver and Portland seem to do a much better job supporting their USL teams. I have the feeling Seattle may be like New York or Miami -- willing to support big events and with a population with knowledge about the game, without the interest in support USL or perhaps even MLS.

Quit lurking. Start supporting. But that's a DIFFERENT Forum/Thread.

That happened a lot, including the five people next to me.

    It was disconcerting.

i don't get it. is it disconcerting if someone enters enters the stadium not a united fan and leaves the stadium a united fan? even if they aren't *really* united fans, is that so bad? i mean, if they get a genuine gut feeling to cheer for united, even for a little while, (or really, cheer any mls team if they are currently eurosnobs or something), isn't that good? personally, i'll gladly suffer "plastic" fans if they buy tons of united merchandise and boost attendance over 25k per game (as long as they sit on the quiet side). oh well, maybe for another thread...

Thanks for the link. Nice production work. :) The only thing that would have made it better is shots of that wank RVN getting stuffed by Perkins. :D

Last time I walked through, that was actually the case. The whole store was Real Madrid. Very odd.

And I agree with ironduck2010, there's nothing wrong, and a lot right with winning fans over. I love bandwagons.

Those Real Madrid stockings look better on her than on that old goat Emerson!

    Great pics, Jenni.

I just wish Cicinho and Gros would take the game seriously.
Instead of playing leapfrog in front of all those paying fans!

I'd rather that Portland got a team, but I'd settle for Seattle.

Then it's settled: the expansion team should go to Yakima.
