Everton has an inferiority complex. For the last 3 years, they've been seeing Premiership big dogs playing exhibitions in the States to big crowds, so they take the Jet Blue over here and start hallucinating to volleyball-sized crowds.
Some of their fans sure don't. One of the comments on an Everton board after the Club America match was that it was hard to tell how Everton really played because it wasn't against a "better side." Maybe I haven't seen the "new" Everton, but in a long series I'd pick Club America over the Everton of the past few years.
