It seems like Southern California is the only region in the country that has its soccer season during the winter. I mean, in three years of playing HS soccer, I think only like 3 games have been rescheduled due to weather. And in my school, if soccer wasn't in the winter, then basketball would've been the only sport during the winter. Anyway, what other regions in the USA have soccer during the winter (at the same time as basketball)?

North Texas has high school soccer during the winter season (January-March) in the midst of youth premier soccer calendar - fall (apertura) and spring (clausura).

Florida has Winter soccer. They used to have Fall soccer only for small schools that did not have a football team, but that is going away this year...

I think in Illinois we have soccer during the winter, but it is indoors. I know indoor is a whole different game then out doors, but I do think it has it place. I think indoor makes the kids play faster, receive the ball better and pass better and faster. I think this only helps them during the outdoor season. I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but I do think indoor has its place.
