As most of you know, Legia won yesterday 1-0. I watched the game, they controlled the play, the possession and pretty much everything else, but they lacked that final touch or shot. Nevertheless, Legia got the away win and an away goal.

I never thought the day would come when I would be nervous about facing teams from Iceland, etc. This should not be a maybe, it shouldnt even be an I think so, this should be a blow out. Chances are nice but if you dont turn them into goals its just a meaningless stat. Come on Legia smoke em in Warszawa.

I hate sounding pessimistic but I am really sick of settling for mediocrity in our football. Its all left up to Legia and Wisla this year, and so I hope they will leave it all on the field and finally get us to a decent round in UEFA competitions. Quarterfinals would be much and is unrealistic, but at least make the group stage in both competitions, cause I am sick of leaving european cups in the preliminary rounds.

Btw, here is the seeding for tomorrows CL 3rd draw. Looks rather grim.

A pretty good draw for Legia.....Shaktar Donetsk.

This should be a close tie. Shaktar began the new season last week with a 5-0 win.

The big news from Shaktar will be whether Anotolyi Timoschuk will be transferred. Celtic have made an offer but no deal yet. Of course Shaktar says the offer was insulting so who knows if he'll be available to play.

    Here's the UEFA link..

    http://www.uefa.com/competitions/UCL/news/Kind=1/newsId=440121.html

I had a feeling we would get Shakhtar, and I'm happy with the draw. We've "lucked out" in the sense that we didnt get Liveprool, Milan, Arsenal Ajax etc. Shakhtar is a good side with experience in the competetion, but they are by no means unbeatable. If Legia plays good football I can see them advancing.

i think that Legia will be lucky to advance past SD
while its not Liverpool, Arsenal or AC Milan, its still a very tough team

we still need to get out of this round first. and with how the polish clubs have been peforming outside the league it doesn't look good. but we do have the win and the away goal so its looking good, but we must make it to the third round first then we can worry about SD

oh come on. 2nd round is passed. lets worry about donetsk. i think its not the best draw (slovan, lewski) but shakthar is definetly a team which we are capable of beating. i rate chances 60-40 to the ukrainians but we have tha advantage of playing the 2nd leg at home

edit: not poland, not football but you have to check this out!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beDg2Iy_mSQ
