Wow, baaaaad news. I hope it's minor. Aren't hamstring injuries often overwork? He's been so injury-free in the past that we take it for granted.

Hopefully it's a short-term injury. We need him badly.

But then again, we should have some new signings come in to help out, right?

In the future maybe, but what about McBride? I saw in today's LA Times that he's retired from international soccer. I guess that's for another thread.

Anyway's, Donovan's injury should keep him out of the All Star game. He needs to concentrate on what is left of our season.

Unfortuantely without him and Dempsey it looks like Chelsea is going to destroy MLS.

I'm actually glad he's set to miss the all-star game, I could just imagine a bastard like Essien breaking Landon's leg or something like that. He'll be back and ready to go for the game against the Rapids, another must win game against a western conference rival.

Where are our new signings!!! Now its time to panic! Will this be our first season of not making the playoffs? Remember we are the only team in MLS ten year history to make all playoffs!

I hate Chelsea with all my heart, but at least Essien's cool man. How about "a bastard like Joe Cole?"

Essien's reputation for leg-breaking tackles goes against him on this one. Chelsea's Dema Kovalenko.

    At Chelsea, they're all bastards.

    No Worries

The Baby will be back crying & whining and sometimes disappearing in our league games soon.

You can expect him to be hiding De-ro's sausage up his rectum at the August 9th game.

Its good to see how balanced our team is - Landy flakes goes down, and its not even like kobe going down for the Lakers.

The lakers play better team ball and would actually win some games.

Donovan goes down we look like a high school team... and hope just to tie games at home.

I dont know whose fault this is - Yallop? Lalas? but this team is one disasterous injury to the baby jesus away from becoming a complete laughing stock in MLS.

Is plan "B" really to over pay for a really lame david beckham who wont play defense? seems more of a marketing move than tactical one for the field.

This team has been thru too much crap this year to win the cup.... price of bad coaching decisions, bad management, poor organizational abilities.

Plus this just seems to me to be the worst year attendance wise since HDC opened.

oh well - no where to go from here, but up!!

Not that I disagree with you, but just out of curiosity did you ever post somethign that wasn't overly dramatic, overly negative or slamming someone?

    Re: No Worries

This is definitely not good news for the Galaxy . Hopefully he will recover quickly and be back soon .

I was really looking forward to seeing LD play in the All Star game . After his terrible WC performance , I was hoping he would go into the all star game to prove that he can play against some of the best players in the world .

That sucks that Deuce is gonna be out too , why cant he just miss that stupid chivas game?

    Re: No Worries

Cuz it would look rather amateur for him to miss a regular seaon game to play an exhibition.

    Sachin.. some bitch

**** I asked this recently in the ESPN/MLS NET discussion held in soccer forum on ESPN.com

Mike, L.A. California: Landon & Alexi what is it like to be last place behind your better the Los Angeles Galaxy? <---(Wow, how circumstances change )

Landon Donovan: (2:25 PM ET ) Mike, I can't see the standings right now. My ring from last year is blinding me. <---( I guess he can't see them this year either. )

The Nerve of this little puke bringing up the fact that he's got a ring from Jostens (funny, assuming he graduated high school, which he didn't... GED kid) and that it is so big and gawdy he cant see the standings. and the fact that he cant see... well maybe if he planned more visits to Lens Crafters and less visits for late night rendezvous to his sisters bedroom to sniff her underware. (old now, but he was finger banging his sister til he was 14. so he moved on.... I will too.)

Landon Donovan, Hate.Hate.Hate.Hate.Hate.Hate.Hate. Hate.Hate.Hate.Hate ***** ( Nice, Dave Chappelle players ball reference )

(refelcting back) - Gawd, those were the days.... of true hatred. I miss a whole league of hating him. The little whiny, prissy, bitchy, cunty, five foot seven man/child that has all the talent in the world that has become an icon of american disappointment. with his fragile ego, his unassertive mental state, and his positively disgusting self-righteous attitude is now just a shell of that lame line of 2 years ago.

I guess when Klinsmann gets here, the baby jesus will either change his ways or possibly change his address.
