It's in the Glades Shopping Centre in Bromley. JJB also have a closing down sale at the moment, so there's 30% off EVERYTHING! I picked up a couple of Pro Vent tops for £14 each! They're reducing everything left, right and centre!

The annoying thing was, I left JJB and saw there was a sale in the Nike shop, went in there, and saw the boots I bought for £84 the day before had been reduced to £70! That was FUMING.

Bromley isn't that hard to get to. From Victoria, the fast trains make Bromley South its first stop, and the shopping centre is a two minute walk away. Alternatively, I could always just get you a pair if you transfer me the money or something :)

I think I know how you feel. My mum was born here but she has started to acknowledge her Trinibagoan heritage more and more over the years. My dad is Irish and he's not about anymore. That's the background anyway. When I was at school and that I hated the parts of me that came from my mum's side of the family. My hair, etc..I just stood out as different to everyone else and I never really felt I could blend in with all these post English people - it alienated me from the culture of the country. I wanted to be something I was not - plain English. It was just as bad playing for Crewe, the supporters were very happy for me to score goals for them but when things weren't going right, you'd hear the murmurs. 'f**king Wog' was the one I remember most, because people up in Crewe didn't think it was wrong to call people something like that. Crewe was where my mum grew up, and when she was there she was the only black person in the whole town. She didn't even own an afro comb until the age of 9. People were so uneducated, they called her 'Pele'. Says a lot, doesn't it? The sad thing is, Crewe still hasn't changed. Much as I enjoyed playing for the town's football team, it's still the racist shithole it always was. So everywhere I turned, I got all this shit, and it made me hate the person I was.

However as I got older and left Crewe, I started to acknowledge my mum's culture more. College was a very 'hip-hop' orientated place, and all the girls loved mixed race guys. It was suddenly cool to be me! So I had a massive afro, wore my trousers round my thighs, etc and I had the best time of my life, ever. However, stepping outside the college walls, things were still the same. People shunned the sort of person I was. I see it with my brother now, people in the area I now live in look at him and they have no idea what to do! They've seen white people, they've seen black people, but both? They have no ********ing clue!

But either way, the thoughts still creep in now, about how things could be different if I was English. But what I learned to accept was that I am BRITISH. I don't have to be white with blonde hair to blend in here. The culture in the places I go (clubbing, football etc) make me appreciate that I am different to the norm. I don't look like the typical English 'bloke'. But, you know what, I don't give a shit! People make remarks, look at me funny, cuss me on the pitch, but I just smile. Because I'm proud of who I am, and I'm happy with myself.

I hope this sheds some light on what you actually asked, because that was one HELL of a long post!

Cool, I hope you had a good time. I don't think it will take you too long to go through the pages...I was away for 2 weeks and things seem to have been petty quiet.

Good news btw, I went to football practice tonight. I warmed my ankle up for about an hour before, and it was fine all practice. We played 1/2 field and I was sprinting around because I was so happy to play again. Infact, I scored 3 goals...the third being the best - My mate in the other team went past 2 players with his fancy tricks and then passed straight to me...I then waited for him to come near me, and I ran at him and flicked the ball behind my other leg like C.Ronaldo often does. I then sprinted past another man and there was just the last defender left at the goal...and then I did exactly what Ronaldo did vs Ghana in the WC. I must say that I was pleased with myself!:p

Sorry for my childishness, but did you get any footy stuff as presents? I already know what I'm getting for my Birthday on the 28th of Septhember...the new Arsenal home shirt with FABREGAS...probably.

Oh, I thought I'd let you guys know that I played the 2nd half of the match for my team today. I got up a bit and played some nice one-twos. We won 6-0 aswell.

I know! I don't know what to feel worse about - the fact that she is probably over 30 years old or the fact that she has 4 children or the fact that she is the wife of Lord Dennis! But I wouldn't class her as hot, I would class her as beautiful, which in my opinion is better.

BTW, I've noticed that we don't even have a 'casual shoes' thread. What do you guys think of these? I think I may buy them tomorrow.

Yeah, in that picture they look a bit chunky, but they actuallu aren't at all...I really don't like skateboarding shoes.

I actually saw very similar ones to those 1st ones that you posted , but in black, which i really liked, but they didn't have my size.

if your gonna go with the lacostes in those style, i'd pick up the ones without the velcro straps. Or you could just get a pair of adidas stan smiths and save yourself alot of money that could be used to buy some new boots :)

    I need some help!

I'm trying to master the round the world where you doe around the world and then move your foot around the ball again really fast before it touches your boot. Every video i have seen of this trick as been way to fast to get any tips from. Im close to doing it just the ball bounces before i can get my foot under it to carry on keeping it up. Does anyone know where there is a video of this trick in in slow(ish) motion?

    Cheers!

Sorry, I can't help you at all, but that just reminded me to remind every1 t warm their groin muscles before attempting a trick like this...I'm sure you know already though. The reason why I say so is because it was so cold at school the otherday, and I was walking to m next class, and came across a ball and did the round the world...OMG did it hurt, I was nearly in tears and was nearly convinced i had torn something.:p

I know soccer styles vary in different continents and countries, so I just want to know how some of you guys play. I play very differantly when i am playing with my club as apposed to school and break-time where the players aren't as good. Many Africa countries have a very physical style, but in Soth Africa, we like to take lots and lots of touches of the ball and try and do loads of tricks. I feel that this originates from children playing in games in the townships with many people, so they get little chance to touch the ball.

Anyways, when I play at school I do lots ofstepovers and drag-backs and flicks and nut-megs but my trade mark move is 'dancing' with the ball. I get to an opponent and stand with the at my feet and start moving my feet about as though i am dancing...a bit like a retard though. I go a whole lot of ways and get the guy thrown off balance and then go past him. I also like to run with the ball and just move my feet everywhere, without touching the ball, and I get passed people. Another one of my moves is to run with the ball at 75%, I then sprint in front of the rolling ball and keep my legs close together. As soon as I see the ball coming near me, I flick out my feet, pretend to go sideways, therefore opening my opponents legs, i then quickly let the ball roll through my open legs and it nutmegs...it is hilarious sometimes:p

Got some about your style or moves?

Infact one of the other pages open at this point in time on my computer is the pictures of Ruud's unveiling on gettyimagaes.com. I think he will get a game...sure, why not? And it only dawned on me a few minutes ago that he would once again link up one of his best ever suppliers...Beckham. Don't you guys feel that this season/off-season seems to have alot more important transfers/retirements? Like Pires, Bergkamp, Keane, Carrick, v. Nistelrooy, etc, even Birmingham bveing relegated was different, not to mention the whole italian scandal!
