we've seen it in every match we've played in the US... its like they're afraid to make calls... then they exagerrate too much.. pisses me off.. tonight was a clear example against Paraguay.. they don't know how to handle such games.. fifa should ban them from international matches or something.. its ridiculous!

True. But i think the Cheapo's (Promotores) dont want to spend more cash on a good ref so they get an MLS one for practically nothing.

Tonight's ref was fine, stop your complaining. You sound as bad as the MLS fans moaning about getting bad refs in Central America. I guess you've been listening too much to Orvañanos & Pelaez or Norberto Longo!

oh of course he was fine lmao... he's from the mls for christ sake! are you kidding me?.. you're american so i wouldnt expect for you to admit your refs suck.. if mls fans moan its their problem.. haha central america you say? I assume they whine about the refs cause they lost...against central americans... lol funny.. but i could care less.. besides this is national team matches I'm talkin bout.. even if we had won which we should've if it wasnt for that goalie I'd still be moaning about how mls refs suck.. maybe you and your futbol are used to such referring but we sure aren't.. last nights ref didnt just affect Mexico but Paraguay as well..

awh Poor Mexican, he is so upset that his team cant be anyone other than Bolivia. Maybe you should stop debating about the ref's and start debating about your Coach. Its not the ref's who make your team lose, its the players and your coach

That paraguayan Britez (sp?) should have been sent off. He was given way too many chances by that no good ref. He commited atleast 3 or 4 fouls that were worthy of a yellow card.

There is no such thing as a "MLS Ref". There are USSF referees who happen to work MLS games. In the case of this game, not only were the refs USSF guys, they are also on the FIFA list. I suspect they know a little more about the game than you give them credit for!

Is not just a question of knowledge, but knowing and having the brass to apply it, and apply it consistently.

Yesterday I saw to US refs. Valenzuela in Morelia Vs Comunicaciones and this other guy in M Vs P.
I saw lots of similarities in their officiating. They both where quite inconsistent in their calls for both sides and even forget about certain

Estoy de acuerdo que normalmente los arbitros estadounidenses son mediocres pero el arbitro de ayer no era tan malo como ustedes creen. Ya estan programados para repudiar cualquier arbitro del norte.

The reff did an overall good job, especially when compared to the games Mexico played against Argentina, Colombia and Bolivia. However you can miss one or two calls and it can drastically affect the game. There was a brutal elbow to Briseno which left him bleeding !!! There was a also a pk against Borgetti in the final minutes of the game, as a Paraguayo pulled hisa shirt inside the box. Similiar to the Argentina match when the reff didnt call a clear pk that would have given Mexico the tie, this time we could have won the match..

Who knows, maybe like the way our top athletes have to choose between which sport to focus on eventually, perhaps our referees do to?

I wonder how many professional referees there are in the US when taking in account all of the professional and collegiate level sports?

    I didn't see this game...and don't particularly care.

If Aguirre is such a good coach, why do Mexicans always blame him for the loss to the United States in the World Cup?

Luis Hernandez for Ramon Morales? Why was Palencia not brought in?

Aguirre is a great coach alright. Look at Osasuna. I think they might a Champions League spot wrapped up.

Aguirre totally blew the US game. He at least blamed himself. He blew that game but had done a great job before. He took the worst Mexico in history and took them into the cup and 2nd round. That is a great job eventhough he screwed up as bad as any coach in a WC (like Mejia Baron).

You know Rafa that's an interesting point and something I've thought about before too. Both Aguirre last year and Mejia Baron in 94 did a very good job with Mexico in the first round of the World Cup, then came the knockout round and they both froze on the big stage. Although their eventual failures were painful it shouldn't take away from their accomplishments yet their mistakes were so obvious in their final games in charge.

Compare that with Lapuente's Mexico in 98. Now I know some think he just took over Bora's team but in 98 Mexico had a never say die spirit which I have never before seen in them. I give a lot of credit to Lapuente for creating that team spirit. Mexico went out of the 98 World Cup with their heads held up high.

Now the question is whether Lavolpe will be able to take Mexico to the next World Cup. Or will he even last that long? His team better start scoring some goals soon.

How stupid can I be? What? Of course Osasuna has always been at the bottom of the table. They are at the bottom of the table again this year, even with the great almight Aguirre. I was being sarcastic, pendej@. You know what sarcastic means, tard?

    Sepultura is nothing without Max.
