I'm really waiting for the Hell-Mouth to erupt directly under Harrison. You know, just to make it official.

Have you ever been there? I think it happened ages ago.

So is it something legit, like a family emergency or serious illness in the family, or has he had enough of New York's instability?

He seems like a class act, so I hope he isn't pulling a Guevara. That would really surprise me. However, maybe he felt Johnston should have been given a decent chance, or maybe he is worried that JPP is going to slip away to Norway.

Man, Red Bull would make a great soap opera!

More like a bad comedy that should have cancelled many seasons ago.

Wouldn't it be funny if Djorkaeff went so that he could witness Zidane's final match -- but Youri doesn't realize that ZZ is out of the lineup due to yellow cards?

    :)

uh no, at least for now, he's got no cards, unless he got one in the game against spain, remember the slate is wiped clean if u still got a card from the 1st round to the 2nd round, then its back to square 1

ZZ picked up one against Spain, 91st minute, so he is back on 1.

You know, that photo could have been great... if somebody had bothered to correct the colors/white balance. Sheesh.

Not cool, Youri. Your team in NY sucks and they need you. Go to all the f'ing France games you want after you retire.

Yup, the cameras on ESPN just showed him there, and John Harkes and JP Dellacamera are trying to make some big deal out of it

If Red Bull excused him so that he can go to Germany to see the match, then there is no controversy here. He asked for permission, and he got it. End of story.

Now if he said that he was sick or something then that would be different, lol. But I doubt he said that.

You got it Djorkaeff left the team to go and watch France against Brazil. I just so him on TV and it makes me sick that he left Redbull NY to go and watch the world cup. Djorkaeff should not start making up lies and saying there is a illness in the family. His a damn liar and hope he dont return to MLS. Retire you old....

...and then ESPN shows him chatting it up at the game. Assuming no OT/PKs he will have about an hour to get back stateside.... LOL

    Can you blame him?

If Djorkaeff wasn't at the game today he'd probably be the only member of France's 98 squad NOT there. I personally don't see a problem. We're talking about a history and loyalty in that generation that far surpasses what amounts to a Saturday afternoon kick around between the Revs and Red Bulls. As long as he's back and ready to go as soon as France is done, this is of little significance.

Considering how little significance an MLS regular season game has it really is not that big of a deal.
