    0-0, in the 13th minute.

Both sides look strong, England with organized attack today - a bit more of the possession. Portgual has also had some nice build ups and some dangerous looking shots.

Both teams look on a mission - seems like setting up for well fought, professional match. 'Two big powers'...

Oh, did Portugal just miss a chance...

By the way, I like how this match is being called so far. Exaggerated flops are being ignored.

Yea I agree, good calls. Right now though, I don't see Portugal winning. They don't seem to be producing anything, and they keep losing the ball with amature mistakes. England was really the last team i wanted to see portugal play to be quite honest. Euro 2004 rematches if you ask me.

Why does England commit more fouls than Portugal already?

England can afford to play a more physical game. I lost count how many players on portugal are playing on yellow cards.

I don't feel like the teams are bunkering in, but definitely have settled into (less exciting) controlled midfield build ups, looking for ways through.

Only Ronaldo and Rooney have looked dangerous.

For England, I'm worried that they're backsliding to the long ball again.

Haven't heard Becks' name called in about 20 minutes. Is he on the pitch? :D

i Mean.. whats going on here???

England hasn't played 1 good half since this WC has started. They're definately do for an excellent game but I dont think this is it.

    Rooney needs some help upfront.

I know that it's a bit early for predictions like this but I can see this game going to penalties like yesterday... a tense first half... both teams score in the second .. 1-1 after 120 then pens.

the midfilelds seem to be cancelling each other out. seems really crowded out there, no width. i want a goal, i don't care who scores it. game needs to open up.

beckham? he's only good for about five minutes out of the 90. :D

Yellow for Petit. He's gone for the next match as well, if Portugal advances.

Yellow Card - Petit. This guy is a clown. I don't know why he is in the starting line up. I imagine him losing it for portugal.

when someone runs wide for england and makes a cross into the box, there's NO ONE there to latch onto it. not enough men pushing forward.
